Such reputation doesn’t mean all Indians are scammers. But India’s image as a “scammer country of the world” is unredeemable.

The Airport is in South West Delhi its not on the outskirts its in the city itself, so your whole journey in was in Delhi, its not a highway you travelled on, its just the route into central Delhi from the airport. Looks like your staying in one of the typical backpacker areas which are very noisy and hectic. You can easily stay in a quiet residential area with good connections via metro to other parts of the city. Delhi is generally safe, just like any big city certain areas like where your staying just have to keep your witts about you, more so due to the narrow roads in that area and the traffic
@47:25 those are chutneys and sambar ! Chutney is a coconut paste ! The white one is plane , red one is chilli & green one is mint ! Sambar is basically veggies boiled in spices !!!

Yes India is a developing country with many challenges but its safer than many countries around the world
I recommend visiting The Qutb Minar and the Ashoka Pillar in Delhi. Darjiling is wonderful especially if the weather is clear. Rajasthan and Kashmir. There's so much more but it depends on how much time you have. You will need to come again and again. The food is second to none. The sweets are the best, like Rabri. Good luck and I hope that you have a safe, healthy and rewarding time in India.

If u are planning to go to mountain states in india u can go to H.P. Sikkim Meghalaya and U.K. and for beaches i would like to prefer you states like Andaman lakwadeep or Goa. I would Prefer to avoid the big cites and explore the real india

old delhi is almost broken beyond repair and it is getting worse by the day. government has said they would build high rises in Old Delhi and parks for children but people there refused because Old Delhi has lots of illegal immigrants. also people living in this awful condition attracts foreign tourists from around the globe as old delhi is the most visited Indian place by foreigners so they don't want to change that.

Drink only bottle water. Food is ok to eat from any shop veg or non veg. Place were u eating from looks good restaurant. Enjoy india
