It’s honestly one of my favorite maps in the 4v4 pool now. Plays very differently and requires some interesting strategic decision making. Not to mention, it looks great!
Thanks alpha, it worked out well thanks to the artillery cover and the critical mass of tanks in relation to their AT. If you control those high ground points in the center of the map, you can be very efficient in engagements.
I know your schedule is weird, but I think streaming would be a good fit for you. it might add a good layer of viewer engagement throughout the video. also seeing chat and such.
Lads really did not want to retreat the mortars and arty at the end of the first game. Arty spam is an addiction, with the only known cure bein a good ol fashioned tank rush :)
Lol I love the new Panzer 3 tank timings, feels so much better. And yeah, mortars and artillery can be very strong on that map in the center because of how the towns and buildings are structured. They lacked the armor and anti-tank, so there was a good opportunity to blitz.
Ekkk you just walked straight through those Aussie inf, with no snare or grenade what are you meant to do with them haha! The upgraded sandbag wall is kinda useless if you can just walk right up to them where their damage is negated at close range. They might be better mid game, but honestly by then you have vetted line inf with AT rifles, so why then purchase them? Think we might see them tweaked in next patch and I expect axis to do well this patch while people try and fail with the new battle group with finding a viable strat. Think relic have done what they do with every patch going back to start of COH 2. They nerf one army and buff the other so they swing the balance from one extreme to the other, they can’t see to just buff one side or nerf the other, they need to do both, in doing so they create a patch by patch see-saw effect
Some very good and insightful comments, Scott. I also think Axis will perform well in this patch. I agree that the Aussie infantry are in a weird place, primarily because they have a week early game. So although you get them early, they do not perform well until they hit Vet 2 & 3 and especially with the sniper ability. The Aussie section actually scales extremely well for mainline infantry but I tend to prefer using them as a support unit, so like 1-2x Aussie and 2-3x Infantry Sections. They have some good utility options but the lack of grenades is definitely felt haha And yeah, balancing is very difficult especially with 4 factions from launch. I see what you mean tho, they do tend to take a heavy handed approach to one faction at a time. However, I am confident that they will iron it out overtime as the game is improving with each update.
Game feels better than ever, probably my favorite update thus far. IMO, it’s better than COH2. And this 4v4 map plays very cool, hats off to the community member who designed it. Great work!

I think australian infantry is quite bad. 300 mp, 80 ammo upgrade after building support company, no grenades, special ability mediocre. I'm using them bad or are they actually trash?
@Prince-Of-Persia like honestly regular engineer can build all the emplacement too. You need a boyz asap to combat 250 so can't rlly spend muni or scopes either early when you get no flare
They are much more difficult to use than I originally anticipated and for many of the reasons that you stated. I think they underperform in the early game but scale very well as mainline over time as the game progress and they gain vet 2 and 3. Their sniper ability is very good and can drop an enemy model upon first contact. However, I find them to only be good at medium range against most axis infantry. I also don’t think they are particular good when you spam them, as they seem better as a support unit to standard British infantry sections. It’s still very early and hard for me to say anything conclusive but those are my thoughts.
If you’re playing Wehrmacht Italian coastal, I would recommend having functional anti-tank form your tier 2. So either two anti-tank guns or jaegers + shrieks and Marders, depending on which tech you go for. And then, it’s very important to rush out to the last tech building to start producing Panzer 4s as soon as possible. Generally, 11-13 mins is ideal timing. Also, don’t forget that you’re Italian coastal reserve units have anti tank grenades which you can use in combination with your anti-tank weapons and your own tank units.
Hey Diego, I have a standard 3070 and 32gb ram. I run everything on high, as I do not like to max out my settings in general. The game looks great on high and runs very well. You should be totally fine considering the 3060ti GPU power. What processor do you have?
yeah and thank god allies got nerfed and axis buffed. Since last patch they had 60% winrate. Now its more fair balance is almost perfect now. Stop crying and adapt
Hey Wyatt, I don’t think Relic was capable of launching both platforms at the same time but I know they will do their best to release this update as soon as possible for Console. I’ll do my best to keep the community updated on these things.
I agree, i love the game and i put a lot of hours in but its bs to let ps5 players wait for months while seeing others play it already. It takes the feeling away that its something new. But i think we will see the update for another 3 months , so i will delete the game and make room for another game.
