I really like this Chairman ! He and His Board needs to SERIOUSLY focus on Collecting The BILLIONS of Outstanding Rands That South African Municipality''s OWE Eskom ! Only then will the price of electricity go down ! The average Family Citizens are suffering so much with the VERY HIGH price of electricity ! We are however grateful for the time being that the lights are on !

Primary source of ernegy is coal,if and when you are not ready to interogate coal prices, you then suggest that people who are poor must pay those costs,i then say that you are crazy,so,that seems to b foreign in the dialogue, coal is a God given mineral, let its prize b regulated, problem solved

Pravin Gordhan made a few bad mistakes in his appointing of people to lead SAA/ESKOM and PRASA. I agree Andre should never have been appointed as ceo of Eskom .

South Africa has capable people. As long as the politics stay away from business and allow skilled people to do what they good at. This sounds really good amd forward thinking with action 😅😅😅.
    Thank you Alec😂.

Well done Mteto. Please don't fall into the 'Net Zero' trap. All it will deliver is zero profits. Fossil fuels DO NOT HARM the environment! Keep up the good work with improving the performance of your coal powered stations.

Only 2 reasons why de Ruyter was employed - to have a long hard look at the books. Its not only engineers that can see that something, somewhere is seriously wrong. Thats what CA's do. Those who appointed him also could not possibly be confused as what the diff between an electr engineers + CA's is. Or he was appointed as a cadre who did not play ball in the end.
Its still unreal that heavy LS of quite a few yrs silently slipped into more than 100 days of lights on demand.

Price is largely due to incompetence and fraud over the past 30 years, not production cost.

Please increase electricity tariffs with 100% and get it over with. Everyone wil get off the grid with solar, wind and battery storage. Eskom will have no customers and 40,000 household will be without a breadwinner.

And the only customers Eskom will end up with are the ones who don't pay their electricity bills!
