The focus of this film is to showcase Iberia's ETOPS procedures and feature the airline's latest long haul addition to the fleet, the Airbus A330-300. It does indeed tend to land very smoothly. And we’ll wrap up the week on Sunday wirh a nice 737 landing in Toronto in snow.

Great vid !!! We were taking Iberia from Rome to Madrid. At the time (1981), local European flights into and out of Spain HAD to be on Iberia (I have no idea if it's still that way). In Rome, there was a big mix-up with the Iberia plane; delayed us about 3 hours as I recall. The scary thing about the Rome airport, however, were the young military personnel (appeared to be 16/17 YO teens) patrolling the airport with machine guns, and occasionally pointing them at passengers. Tensions were high as Anwar Sadat had just been assassinated.

Very sorry but we don't have all the titles of the music we use... We paid for a library of licensed music and have a couple of thousand tracks split by music style but no titles...

He wasn’t supposed to use reverse thrust on landing. The briefing said no need for reverse thrust and they’d save fuel and make their taxiway exit.

Did they not arm the spoilers?
they did. look at the system display (lower ECAM) once the landing gear is compressed. Indication for spoilers up is displayed. Furthermore u can see the Speedbrake-Lever pulled (white ring on shaft is visible)
@@2235Black In addition to that the checklist also indicated armed spoilers "Ecam memo - landing all green" includes that the Spoilers are armed 'SPLRS ARM'
If you are talking about the Speed brake lever not moving to the full-position: This isn't happening on Airbus cockpits. It's something you'll find in most Boeing cockpits instead.

Why no?. They are Spanish.
Avoiding the use of reverse thrust to save fuel? Seriously? That’s a first time for me hearing that. If they want to save fuel, maybe have electric powered tugs bring them to the take off threshold. They’d save a lot more fuel. (And he used reverse thrust after all)
He most probably meant full reverse which is a standard procedure in the industry.
He used idle reverse.
The music was annoying. Wish you had airplane sounds.
Hi Rick, you have the entire approach with the pilots sounds and ATC communications on there... the music was just for the 2nd landing with the pilotsview since you already heard everything there is to hear by then...
Guys Plz speaks Spanish!! Iberia is the National Carrier of España!! Panama habla Español tambien!!
