- Today we are playing the sequel to the FIRST TROLL game ever made, "The Big Adventure of Mr. Owata 2"!
Have you ever wondered where TROLL games got their origin? Where did games like Syobon Action (Cat Mario) and I Wanna Be The Guy get their inspiration from? Well from the 5 minutes of research that I did, apparently the game, "The Big Adventure of Owata's Life" is the very first troll game to appear on the internet.

I'm really impressed with how many versions of the basic troll setups the game throws at you. Good sense of humor for most of them too, nice sense of timing.
2:20 "What did they say?"
"Yukkuri Shiteitte ne!" (ゆっくりしていってね!). The phrase translates literally to "Do it slowly!", but is more often translated as "Take it easy!".
The phase, combined with those two faces (Marisa and Reimu from Touhou) are a famous Touhou Project meme, dating back to 2007.

@@乙乙乙乙乙乙乙乙乙乙 There's a level that is some set of trolsl that are all twice twices that are different because of on/off switches, that will be in a different state if you never died and went back to a checkpoint. So it forces the entire red coin extravaganza to be done in one run, otherwise you get to the end and it forces you to die for not having one-shotted it.
man, i'm tearing up a little. Flash was such a beloved format and what people did with it was incredible. seeing the love for it coming from international sources makes me feel a kinship as we mourn a treasured part of the old internet.

Ok… every thing was looking good, definitely a troll level but nothing irritating cuz constant checkpoints, but that boss fight looks just plain frustrating!

Day 100 of asking Dave to make an official announcement regarding the Mariothon recap! Well, after 100 days of zero response other than "I don't know," I think it's safe to assume that Dave is not too concerned about youtube having access to his signature content as of his announcement last December. It was fun while it lasted! Going back to what he said in that announcement, the channel will eventually need to evolve past Mario Maker. Here's hoping he finds something great and sticks to it this time. For now, it appears you have to go to streams if you want to see more than the same stuff. Sure this channel has great things, like the uncleared levels series (when it's youtube exclusive content), and SENSEC is pretty good despite many times we are clearly watching an old recording with no mention of youtube unless it's an invitation to go to a stream. But sometimes I get bored with troll levels being 2-3 times a week, and the Mariothon recap really scratched that itch. I find myself less interested in keeping up with his videos each day. I've been a loyal fan for years, even going back and trying to watch all of his old videos, but I think the last 100 days have shown what I've suspected for a long time. This channel has gone downhill and won't be returning. Dave just cares a lot more about streaming than being a video creator. I know he likes the interaction, but what about the youtube comments section? That's a great place to interact with fans and you don't even have to miss a message since they aren't scrolling live. But aside from my frank thoughts, Dave, I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. You as a former A+ youtube content creator have been and will continue to be missed. Please keep youtube exclusive content such as uncleared levels coming, as that's the only place where you still really shine. Recordings really would mean a lot more if you recorded a few seconds of video to introduce the content, but I'm tired of saying that. I'm sure I'll still be around but probably not as dedicated anymore. Good luck to you.
