This is so cool! I especially love watching these casted games, as much as watching SC2, which is saying a lot considering there's a whole race missing and other units
The allure of new goes a long way.
Nice to see some Vanguard bud variation. Was getting worried just seeing Exo/Lancer/MedTech.
Man that drop is insanely fast
Parting is ridiculously good
Yeah that was a fun one to watch for sure
cheers mate
There's already a 10k tournament? The esportsfication of gaming, goddamn.
Seems like this would have completely crushed early on if those last couple Hornets hadn't been lost and some Lancers had been made instead.
Fun to see new builds, with uncommon units 👍
watched this on twitch. i think this video would perform better if the title had something to do with “the #1 stormgate player” in it.
if you want to cast games from the katowice qualifier that were from the second half of the stream (or if anyone wants to just go watch them), i recommend games 1 & 2 from skillous vs elazer, and the elazer v probe series.
also steiner is continuing to rapidly rise up the ladder and their game was so entertaining last time, would love if you could get your hands on some more steiner replays. thx!
steiner’s up to #2 on the mmr leaderboard :o
When I was playing the alpha under the name Microbius, I loved doing the gaunt drops and everyone was talking crap about how it wasn't viable. I knew it was only my poor execution that was holding it back.
Favourite video yet. Half way through. So awesome to see the best play 🎉
Interesting that Parting doesn't use magmadons. My one concern with using Vulcans is magmadons stunlock them completely, bc Vulcans have a long delay before attacking, they literally can never attack if a magmadon is on them.
Awesome match. I want to play double hangar hornet into Vulcan medtech now 😮
I'd been doing a 6 gaunt drop on jagged starting at 2:50. Works most of the time.
Great cast !
BUT : I do not agree with the advice on vulcan's charge ability. I've been using it and had great success with it : flanking ( creating new angles, since it can go over cliffs) or just powering through. You kinda want them to rain bullets on the whole ennemy army and use their aoe, not in the back, it is less effective. Multiple times i turned the tide of a fight with it, I think you should give it a try :)
yeah to reposition to a better firing position makes sense, definitely not diving INTO the middle of the enemy DPS with lone vulcans like I did my first few games lol! It was so bad haha
I think good dragon control and scourge thing can counter it
I haven't really enjoyed this matchup throughout the playtest. It feels bad to lose early as vanguard and it feels bad to lose late as infernal when your army stops doing damage. Hopefully t3 units and balance to the early game fix this
Maybe go light the abbreviations like cp first.
i have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. This game is still new.
Can the medtech heal Vulcans?
yes if they use their nanoswarm ability (which has to be researched)
Infinite free healing seems pretty good
Infernal units are just so trash compared to Vanguard units. You literally have to cheese early to win. XD
take your pills pls
Seems balanced, it’s not a cheese unless it’s all-in
We call that early aggression
My point is that Infernals only have a chance if they rush. I play Infernals btw, and no. That sh!t is not balanced. Just watch some other recent casts of the game. If the Vanguard player knows how to play, then Infernals have no chance if they aren't successful with the early aggression. Vanguard units are just too fast and too tanky. Even Probe here was doing an off meta build, and beat PartinG of all people. If that doesn't speak volumes, then I don't know what does.
I just watched Elazer look pretty good vs Clem in midgame onwards but I've not watched enough to really know. Keen to see what happens in the rest of the EGC tournament the next few days. Game is nowhere near balanced right now and there's a lot of things that are ridiculously strong on both sides. Still seems mostly skill based right now though
yeah, how blind must u be to net see that once Vanguard has a big army..its GG. Dont need to fight it.. its like 3x Stronger and that Snowballs into absolute Monster.
He couldve just put tanks on top of that...and since they dont hit Air it gets even easier...

This game is really growing on me
I love sc2 but i hope this game replaces it
Don’t look for a replacement look for an additional great rts
