Does anyone know if there are any design features of the build that allow retractable landing gear to be installed? For me the takeoff roll and the landing are some of the most enjoyable parts of the flight experience.
This is my first master build. It went ok but it's not done yet. I am a visual person. The vertical stabilizer and copy build as well as gluing the trailing edge are not in the video. I'm sure I will figure it out but I have also built several FT planes.
Just made it to the point of Setting up ECS. Can the ECS's be in the hidden belly Compartment or do they need to be all the way up by battery Compartment for CG ?
1:03:00 to 1:05:00 does the fuselodge need to be cut so that the wing spar can go down or no? At the start, you had it pushed all the way down the slot. But at the gluing part, it is above.
Any benefit to flaperons F18? Can you just use a Y cable for ESC or do I need 1 channel for each ( see no benefit for differential thrust as thrust tubes are so close
If you wanna do alien like maneuvers and pull crazy AOA sure. Just make sure your craft can withstand the crazy g’s this airframe can pull. If everything is the right dimensions I would assume it would be able to pull the same g’s the real thing can which is way more than the airframe can handle. Would be really cool if someone figured out how to put a g limiter on the rc model
I personally haven't found a flight video for this model, just the build video. it's like these guys want someone else to film the flight video and tag them in the description, which I advise someone to do, otherwise it's not happening.
Sounds like something isnt assembled correctly, shoot some pics over to Flite Test tech support. I can get you goung ince I have a better idea whats going on.

Is it OK to use Latex caulking to seal up the exposed foam edges?

Just an idea when attaching canopy place blue tape on vinyl and glue on canopy so attachment is definite and blue tape will protect vinyl...

Just cut where the dotted lines are, dont press it down any further.. It looks deeper than it needs to be in the video.

You can Y the EDFs. I have not tried this with elevons

For a plane this big, I'm surprised that a half-inch of BBQ skewer and a bit of hot glue is all that's needed to hold on the vertical stabilizers.

Yes there is, one of the assembly, and ver 2 remod.
Most of my spray coating looks like your 3rd coat. I'll have to learn to spray lighter first and second coats.
I will do 4-6 coats in many cases
