- Welcome back to another Episode of the Yorke Peninsula . In this episode we struggle to get into our camp and have to take the motor off to be bale to get the van into our camp . We struggle with our new mic and the wind noise is a struggle and we want to apologise for it . It's something we are working hard to figure out why .
These two camps are on the south of the Yorke Peninsula and although the weather was not quite what we were hoping for we still make the best of it .

Baked parsnips are great. Sweet potato buttered, rolled in Al foil and baked. Eat with sour cream and chives.. oooh yeahhhhh.

Oh dear how can you mistake a cabbage for a lettuce hahaha. Great video had me laughing and the rock puddle, perfect for a wine or two 😉👌
Thank you .. Yip , sue does not send me to the shop anymore alone 🤣🤣
@@justvanningit I don't blame her hahaha
Drama Queen Derek that looked so good
Ahaha yes agreed!
Come on Derek, definitely a drama queen. Roast parsnip is the bomb. 😂
😂😂😂
Agreed Lauren!
Hi Derek, Sue you should look for a extension tow bar which will take the tow hitch further back something this PRO7203 3000kg Ballmount it may save your boat motor.
Thank you for the tip . Will look into it 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Oh Deryck you and veggies. Must admit parsnips, turnips and sweet potatoes aren't my favorite either. 😜
🤣🤣
I call those stair stops "scenery Breaks", and claim I have only stopped to look at the view.
Hi Nola just picked up your comment, apologies for delay! Yes ahahah they are definitely "scenery breaks" and a spend a fair amount of time enjoying the scenery!!!!!
Lmfao....sue I dont give a f#%k about the biggest and best rock pools....from now on I base my rock pool experiences on yours and yours alone......I'm dead.....😂😂😂😂
Spot on Joe! If the is a puddle of water I am good to go! 🤣
Did the Light House end up on the "cutting room floor".? Look forward to next weeks video.
Thanks Robert, yeah didn't get a good shot in at the light house. Will remember next time! Thanks for your support!

Thanks Stewie!
Parsnips are great in mash potato's Derek obviously not know parsnip and Turnips are neeps.
Perhaps I will try him with a turnip next! He def won't enjoy that!
Hey guys loved this video , can i ask what area in yorks was the campsite cheers..
Thank you 🙏 . These camps were just south of point turton .
Thanks appreciate that and I'll head down and check them out happy travels 🙏❤️
Why don't you mount your outboard on top of the tool box for travelling.
The box only has a top that opens . Will all be sorted soon 🙌🏻🙌🏻
A nice one, are you off to WA now or are you still on the York ?
We won’t be doing WA this year . We have some other plans which will be announced soon
Hey Derek…your audio sounded good on this video. What audio system are you using now? Mics etc?? What was the problem with the Rode wireless? I am thinking of buying this system. Thanks
Thank you . Working hard to get the audio right . We have the rode wireless 2 and we might go back to them as we battle with this shotgun mic .
No problem with them , just wanted to try a shotgun mic
@@justvanningit Thanks for the answer. I am trying to decide what to use for myself, and undecided whether a wireless system or shotgun mic is best. Just watched your “Point Turton’ episode tonight, really enjoyed it. My wife, Jill, says to say “Hi’ to Sue…😀
@@justvanningit no expert but i reckon there's a time and place for both depending on what where who etc .. wind seems like it has been super hectic which makes it hard to work out what works better in different circumstances
I don’t eat sweet potato either mate.
When doing a roast try using oven bags. Make the clean up easier and is water friendly.
Thanks for the tip . Will give it a try 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Is it true its only $500 per year for a camp permit in the York?
I’m not sure . First I’ve heard of that but I know it’s $10 a night or $50 for 7 nights
@@justvanningit Yep, and $150 for 4 weeks and $500 for 52 weeks. Not sure if that allows you to move between them all but either way, its cheaper than a mortgage lol
If you see my mates chest. He eat his vegetables.
Yeah, going to have to blend them into a sauce!
Get on the carnivore diet mate. Look it up. Vegetables are no good anyway. I’m with ya on that.
Will do . Thank you
