Nice video! Had mine for about a month now and it's by a margin the best grinder I've had (in 20 years and many grinders!). So nice to finally be able to get great espresso and filter from one grinder. The I200 burrs are an absolute treat for both.
@@tomsgrinderlab it's the only grinder I've been able to do it with successfully (without extensive brushing/grind path clearing). I do it twice a day and the stepped dial helps remove ambiguity when switching. The knocker helps clear the stubborn filter chaff that usually impacts subsequent espresso grinding on other 'multi-purpose' grinders.
Luigi is such a nice guy! I really like the path mazzer is going! Got my philos now 5/6 weeks and its amazing, loving the i200d for fruity mordern espresso! No rdt needed, the antistatic with the magnets works perfect :) I used a p64 with ssp hu/mp/ls burrs but the philos is another level of single doing! I sold the p64 and now safed a lot of money for great coffee :)
Any Mazzer stockist will carry them, just search for "mazzer grinder" and you'll find a bunch. This response was from Mazzer and posted on CoffeeSnobs Australian forum last week by a member: Dear Susan, thank you for your interest in Mazzer Philos. The grinder will be available in Australia starting from late winter (Australian winter). In the next few weeks we will publish the Australian version of our e-commerce. There you'll get all the info and price details and you'll have the chance to preorder the grinder. As we are doing in Europe, we'll keep a launch price for the Australian market for a while to give our Australian customers the chance to benefit from this offer too. Kind Regards,
Great video Tom. I've had mine now purchased direct from Mazzer around 2 weeks. Loving it so far .
Thanks Video Tom. Very informative and timely.

Good to hear that the burrs are true Omni burrs. Easy to switch between espresso to filter and back to the same grind size?

May I ask if you purchased in Australia, and where form? Thanks.
@@glengoodwin no, I’m in Europe so it was purchased direct from Mazzer.
Great video!
Thanks for the video, Tom. I didn't know that I wanted a Philos until now!😂
Yes it's definitely in the category of an endgame grinder. Probably over-engineered for home use but you can't help but admire the quality.

We agree!
Do you know when they will be available in Oz and who will carry them?
