RM wrote this song with Honne ...Blanco ...Mahalia...Pdogg....but it shows how RM is unafraid to share his centrestage with anyone...RM's debut is about the music and in sharing his debut space he took centrestage....genius...!!!
Cool thing about Namjoon and really all the guys in BTS is that even if a song isn't your style or has parts you're like "hmm" about, the songs overall are so well made.
When you get to the live in Seoul RM did in Rolling Hall, you kinda get it why RM asked Paul to be in this. RM couldve have pretty much anyone he wanted in his album, and instead he asked this guy who pretty much no one knows, just because he was blown away with his talent and thought this guy is too underrated. Thats like the true essence of RM as Kim Namjoon. He said "when i heard him(paul) the first time i thought wow, is this dude really from South Korea? Do we have a artist like him in here?". I know youre gonna do it at some point so i dont wanna spoil too much, but just overall, that live set was amazing.
Am I the only one who finds it funny that he forgot the name of the last song he listened to when the name of the song was 'Forg_tful'? It's so fitting.
I love that about music so much. You can play a song for 5 people and they will have 5 different favourite parts and 5 differetn least favourite parts yet no one is right or wrong. It's all taste and preference. I appreciate you being honest about what you liked AND disliked. Some reactors seem to fear saying the "wrong" thing to upset ARMY, but ARMY are music lovers first and can appreciate a critique if it's coming from an honest place and not hate for the sake of hate. It's always refreshing to see. Personally, Paul Blanco is my fave feature on the album but he does have a very specific sound that you're either going to like or dislike.
Paul Blanco is my favorite part of the song he really did an amazing job. His voice live is even better, our Joon really chose his feat so well for this album.
Closer was actually my favourite song on this album and Paul for me was perfect on this song Literally fell in love with his voice & checked his other stuff
8:75 I have never heard Post Malone sing like this because I do not follow Post Malone music, but this style of singing comes from serious greats 80s/90s etc. Now you make me want to look it up. You are young. 50% of ARMY is over 20, and 30~% is over 30. We like Closer and none of us are thinking of Post Malone. RM made a really good old school R&B/hiphop hit. You should check out RM Live from Soul to see some of these songs performed. Maybe you did so already? I will check it out.
I totally love Paul Blanco he's totally original onto himself despite the similarities with PM to your ear I don't see it at all honestly. His whole verse hits me, just love it all.
I love this song! I think Mahalia and Paul fit perfectly with this R&B vibe. I have only heard maybe one Post Malone song so I didn't have anything to compare Paul to but I love how he sings his verse and wish Mahalia's could have been longer. I would have loved to hear both vocalists harmonize together while RM raps and does adlibs. That would have been interesting to hear as well. I love RM's whole album because of the different genres and feeling to each song. Thank you for your honest and insightful reaction.
I've read somewhere that Paul Blanco has been doing that style even before Post Malone even became known?? They're live performance is way better so if you have time check it out RM Live in Seoul he performs the entire Indigo Album with his them feature artists except Erykah Badu & Mahalia
The producers on this were HONNE, who RM worked with on Seoul (from Mono) and featured on their song Crying Over You. I like What You Did by Mahalia with Ella Mai, One Night Only, and Bag of You.
This song is one of my favs and Paul’s part is my fav … i mean every one has their own type but the next one change is my NO.1 fav and its a difficult one to digest but lets see how u like it… ps: never knew Mahalia and Paul Blanco existed before this track but they both r fire 🔥
Whenever you decide to do an introductory video for BTS, I highly recommend Taylor’s A Guide to the Bangtan 7 because it’s the most up to date and it really breaks down every member 💜
@@Jurnalist_ that’s great! I’ve really been enjoying your reactions (about non-bts stuff too) and subscribed 😁. Oh and if you’re looking for more explanation about Indigo I recommend RM’s Indigo Magazine documentary (ruclips.net/video/lRy8OYhLO-A/видео.html)- that’s where that clip about forg_tful came from.
@@dici1396 Ty for watching other content as well I truly do appreciate that. I’ll watch the doc after the indigo album so I’m not influenced or exposed to any songs before the reactions. I do look forward to watching it though.
been loving you reactions to rm and cant wait for you to dive into bts and the other members solo works plus rm's two mixtapes etc you have 2 years to catch up before bts drop new music so take your time try to not get overwhelmed with the amount of music/content :) all that being said try to not have expectations going in. in my opinion all bts/rm/other members music is a masterpiece but if you think its gonna be something else before hearing it you may get disappointed. one thing ive learned while being a army is to never have expectations i already know its gonna be fire but i dont try to guess what theyre gonna do/how theyre gonna do it. example for a artist like taylor swift when she was a country singer you knew what her next song would sound like now that shes a pop star she still has her own pocket of pop music she goes in that you know its her. for bts they dont have a set pocket they have styles specific to them as a group and individual styles but everything is on the table for them. for example RM's forg_tful that was the first time hes done a folk song hes done slow songs and performed acoustic songs before but never folk. bts has always pushed the boundaries theyve done almost every genre and never made similar sounding songs within their discography i think maybe their english songs (they have 3 butter , dynamite and permission to dance) are somewhat similar to each other but thats like the first and only times theyve done that before so technically that was a new thing too. the rappers and singers would even try out new styles to rap/sing in than previous songs example V has a deep soulful voice but he hits really high notes from time to time and jimin who has a very high pitched voice sometimes uses his lower register and can sound like a whole different singer. basically try to not have expectations of what itll sound like obv you can guess if youll like it or not but if you think a song will be vocal heavy and it ends up being the opposite or you think it might be one genre and its not that might impact if you enjoy the song or not if that makes sense? bts isnt a kpop group or even a pop group or boyband they do everything artists/groups under those umbrellas dont do. especially when it comes to their lyrics. all day for example thats not the first and probably wont be the last time RM touches on social issues in his music as hes been doing that for 15 years within his group music and in his solo music so do the other members of bts. anyways please react to the bangtan 7 by taylor and bts hardships 2013 - 2021 by xceleste to get to know rm and the rest of bts and their struggles which they write about often too. :)
If you're looking for funny korean variety content well... im not gonna toot the horn too hard but bts also have a variety show called run bts which is absolutely hilarious once you get the vibe of the show. They recently uploaded all of the episodes on yt and i think most of the time, you can get away with doing full reactions to them on yt. The episodes are usually them being kidnapped by the production crew and forced to do missions/play games/quizzes/activites/all types of goofy shit. Okay, they're not actually kidnapped or forced to do these things but its rlly funny once you get to know all the members. They recently had an episode where they tried out flying yoga, and another one where they all tried doing different genres of streaming content (kinda like twitch). My personal favorite is when bts were dropped off in a zombie apocalypse haunted house kinda thing and left to do missions while being chased by zombies- being the scardey cats they are, it made for great content of course. Cant remember which episode this was but if you search up Run Bts zombie episode, it'll come right up and then you can find it uploaded on their youtube channel, BangtanTV or on their social media app/website, weverse. They also have multiple cooking episodes which make for an absolute disaster depending on which members are involved in the cooking. Just a suggestion but i think you would really enjoy reacting to these bc not only is it super entertaining, but it helps you get all the members' names/faces down and all of their personalities too.
It's just you. Paul Blanco's got a groove that's all his own. I've never heard Posty able to scat, at least not like what Paul was doing. Maybe take another listen.
honne gifted the song to joon and joon said mahalia is honne's friend so i'm assuming they or she had written that part previously and then just given it to joon, and then joon wrote his part/made his own changes and asked paul to join the song bc he loves his singing style. idk much about paul but apparently this song is different from his usual style. thanks for the reaction! this song is actually my favorite off the album hehe. i love the concept of a bittersweet love you can never reach and the song just has an overall sexy feeling i loveee especially paul's verse and joon's raspy voice. edit: 2nd fav actually!! nothing will ever top wild flower for me :]
I really understand your thinking on pauls verse and its okay not to like it much. For me its my fav verse and if i remember correctly, the second part of his verse (the diddi part) went viral on tiktok too and have been used for trends too.
Love this song so much...I have only heard one post malone song and it was on carpool karaoke and bts sang it. So I think Paul Blanco sounds great. You are being honest I appreciate that, everything is not for everybody
Paul Blanco is one of the newest artists on this and he practically tripped over himself saying yes so quickly to this offer. Adore him and the live version he did with RM is just as good. He’s a Canadian-Korean singer who stole the spotlight in this one.

Wondering if you have any ideas about why Namjoon wrote it that way.
I feel like I have a desperate need to get my hearing checked. 😕 I adore BTS and RM. You and everyone else are talking about how great Mahalia is and how wonderful her part sounds. To me she sounds like she's very stoned and possibly huffing helium or else she's a little girl talking about grown woman things. 😟 I don't understand why her voice is like that (I even went and listened to some of her own music) or why people like it if they are hearing the same thing I'm hearing. I'm hearing a breathy unsupported baby voice, kind of like when Marilyn Monroe decided to sing Happy Birthday to the president.
At least why I like it is the feeling she gives when I hear her sing. Plus the phrasing of those lyrics, to do something like that takes skill and directed precision. She has a great tone to me as well and if she wrote the lyrics for her part too. 😮💨😮💨 the songs she could write. That’s just my opinion though I can’t speak for others. Lastly we must remember RM requested her to work with him. He did not choose these people lightly I would think.
Paul Blanco has always had this style since his sound cloud days before Post Malone really started blowing up.

The fact that Paul blanco sounds the SAME live and I literally mean it. It sounded like he literally ate the fucking studio version or swallowed a cd
Yeah that was thrilling to see Paul lay it down live
I like your honest reactions. But I can't lie I really love Paul Blanco's part, it's just a vibe in the car on blast for me.
I am honest because I’m not doing this to fake it. However I would like to look into Paul more once I high finish with RM and BTS.

the rappers and singers would even try out new styles to rap/sing in than previous songs example V has a deep soulful voice but he hits really high notes from time to time and jimin who has a very high pitched voice sometimes uses his lower register and can sound like a whole different singer.
basically try to not have expectations of what itll sound like obv you can guess if youll like it or not but if you think a song will be vocal heavy and it ends up being the opposite or you think it might be one genre and its not that might impact if you enjoy the song or not if that makes sense? bts isnt a kpop group or even a pop group or boyband they do everything artists/groups under those umbrellas dont do. especially when it comes to their lyrics. all day for example thats not the first and probably wont be the last time RM touches on social issues in his music as hes been doing that for 15 years within his group music and in his solo music so do the other members of bts.
