The sad thing is that it's been that way for YEARS. I first knew it as "Geopolitical Simulator", then Rulers of Nations (GPS2), Masters of the World (GPS3), and finally Power & Revolution (GPS4).
The concept is great but their execution...
The game looks the exact same as it did a decade ago despite being three "versions" away from the game I played in 2009
It sucks because the game has some really good ideas going for it, but the devs are pretty shitty.
The guy that's developing it just isn't a very good programmer, that's why he couldn't implement 90% of his ideas well
When Geopolitical Simulator came out, the game seemed AWESOME. It was less buggy too.
But in the 10 years since then, they literally haven't updated jackshit, and were instead releasing shitty DLCs as standalone games and charging hundreds for them. Oh and obviously, the new features that are in these new DLCs have hilarious interactions with the old bugs. Game is funny, but game is made by a French developer, which kinda ruins it.

This game is actually quite good, it is just super complicated since you have control over practically everything. It is rather buggy due to the vast amount of calculations it makes, but it works well enough in my opinion. I always have a blast playing it and learned quite a bit

This game honestly looks fun.
It is, but if you want to play a long game and actually see your changes taking root, then it can be disappointing. Going through all the trouble to become appointed for life should be rewarded but after a few years you're bound to run into a game breaking bug.

ISP you might not know, so imma just say for the previous games there's like a mod DLC that lets you disable the option of like having your leader deposed. Also there's a battle screen that you can control units fighting each other in cities on that you haven't found

This game is bug ridden to hell, ugly as shit, extremely expensive and plays like driving a jalopy, but it’s honestly the best game i’ve ever played. Once you get passed the steep steep learning curve with the UI you can do some of the most incredible things and it’s perfect for someone who loves the topic. Only in GPS4 can you make an international diamond cartel with russia botswana and the democratic republic of the congo, assassinate heads of state, play as any country or make one, launch multiple world wars or play as or fund illegal groups to preform coups. it’s worth the time and money
