I really need a new video guide on all the media of the dark crystal universe !!!!
Ya, I really need to do that.
I want something like this but for all things skeksis and more info about their home world
Oh, that would be sick!
this is so cool, look at all that lore!!!!!!!! can't wait for mine to be shipped!!
Vapra clan is the purple section go figure purple is the color of royalty.
Mine arrived yesterday. So lovely. Taking my time reading a little each night before bed. Loving it so far.
I’m So Excited! Glad to see you back!
Thank you! looks much better than expected (because the few and lame pics seen at Amazon)
I have this book, I love it.
Hey I discovered something interesting! Please go back to the Spriton Clan chapter with the Podling song and keep it open to that page as you watch Hup singing in Stone in the Wood. You won’t be disappointed! In short, that funeral song is in Podling and we just got the translation to that song from the show!
Ah, it did look like it was the same funeral song from the show, at first, but it is a different one. This one is in Podling and the lyrics (at least the subtitles from Netflix) are different. I assume that is an ancient form of Gelfling or something.
The Dark Crystal Conjunction sorry for late reply but uh, I would say to listen to it without the subtitles because the subtitles aren’t the most accurate. As another example of how the subtitles aren’t the most accurate to what’s being said, in episode 10 they say that SkekZok was the one to say “lousy SkekVar” when we clearly hear that it’s SkekOk who says this.
Hell yea
I love this book so much that ive lost count
Great to see new content from you, Jason. I can't wait for my copy of this.
2:40 according to the author Thriya is pronounced "three-ya -- more like the i in Amri :)" twitter.com/joeyverse/status/1288296690714320896
Yup, those are lots of pages from Brea's journal (!) - one of my favourite props ever to make - that and the Skeksis Book of Law. Wish I'd know about this ... nice to see pages that never made it on screen :)
ah i guess if you make it on set then it is "their" property at that point, thus no nod to the creator? :(
@@DarkCrystalConjunction Oh yes, it is their property because we were contracted to Netflix at the time - but it would still be nice if they let us know, esp when our names are listed as illustrating a book and our work is all over it - we might want to see it !! Crazy world of Film unfortunately.
@@DarkCrystalConjunction There was a nod - we're listed in the front as illustrating it - that's what I found rather bizarre - considering I knew nothing about it until today :)
Rather random to discover apparently my illustrations are part of this book - wish they told us things!! 😂
Wait, wha!?
@@DarkCrystalConjunction Not sure of your question? I didn't know anything about this book til today - not sure why no one let us know. It's a shame! Great to see our work - I'll let Tim and Max know (!)
