Thank you. I have had these tabs for over a year and finally decided to put them on. I ended up using your eyeball method. You did a great job with your directions! Thank you again!
Wonderful, thank you! I have had the Great Adventure Bible for 2 years. I have almost finished reading the Bible and haven’t done the index tabs because it seemed a more time consuming project that I had envisioned. Thank you for the visual. I am ready to do it!
I used wax paper separating the page to be tabbed and the next page. There were moments of high anxiety (there were a lot checking out of Purgatory that day!) Yet alas, all of the tabs have been affixed with exception to the ancillary.tabs.
It took me over 2 hrs to apply them all! You have to be careful not to tear pages or the tabs. Also, the maps, prayers, etc, not sure what where they go!
Congrats! 🤩😅 I didn’t use the maps and prayers and other extra tabs for this Bible..but you could place them anywhere that you think will help you find those pages easily. God bless 😇🙏
Hello! Can you please do a comparison of the paperback and the leather edition of the Great Adventure Bible? Which of the two is your go to / favorite to use. How is the leatherette holding? Wear and tear? Thanks!
Thanks for your helpful video! I watched the few I could find that use this bible with these tabs and yours was the best. So thank you! I tried to do the measuring thing you did with cutting up a paper and right away I knew this wouldn't work for me. So I practiced with cut up sticky notes to just line up the centre of each coloured book name on the page. (does that make sense?) So after I have figured out a couple of mistakes I did, tonight I got a braniac idea with my cut up stickies (name brand P.-I. might be too sticky for the delicate pages). I centred the sticky note (cut to the size of the sticker tab width) on the page of the bible so it was centred around the book coloured box. Of course I had something under the page to avoid accidentally catching another page. Then I centred the sticker tab to line up with the sticky note. It worked really well!!! I'm nearly done the old testament now. :) My mistakes: A) I discovered that the tabs are not equal on the name part. I can see white from the other side once folded. The black line on one side is marginally larger then the other side and that side needs to be face up. This will avoid that "white" on the sides of the book name on the tab. (Wordy explanation I know!) I had just finished sticking 1 Kings when I figured it out. B) I accidentally put Joshua too high up and hadn't realized I was not centred with the box on the page. Too bad it was in the first line of tabs. C) Tobit is slightly crooked and I couldn't undo it without tearing the page. It too was marginally higher up the page too. But not the end of the world and most wouldn't probably notice. Again thank you for your tips. I certainly kept them in mind as I started!
You can. She went through SOOOOOO much extra, completely unnecessary work. The guide is for if you are using these tabs for a Bible that ISN’T the Great Adventure Bible. All you need to do is place the matching tab on the page with the coordinating colored marking that’s already there- very simple.
That's a wonderful idea Hanna...I haven't seen any side by side comparison of the 2 so I'll try to gather some notes on them and make a vid soon. Thanks!
There are some tabs that I don't know where to put. I.e. Start here Part 1, Maps, Concordance, Tables, charts, articles, Documents, Teaching of Jesus, Prayers, Readings, Lists Glossary, Topical Index. I have the leather bound version, perhaps, there is a different version that has all these in it. Thanks for your help. L
Hello L, I did not use those tabs on purpose because I found that I rarely used those tabs for any type of Bible I own. If you’re here from Bible in a Year, try asking in the Facebook group and ask for picture ideas of how others placed those tabs on there Bible. They’re usually very helpful! God bless.
I have a question, do these tabs have similar adhesive to 3M Signature Tab adhesive?? Meaning in time you could take them off or is the adhesive quite sticky?? Thanks in advance for any help!
Hello 👋, no they are not like those removable adhesive tabs. I wish they were to make life easier 😅. They are very sticky and once you fold them over on both sides it is in permanent position. Hope that helps! God bless.
I would love for you to do my Bible. There is no way I can do this. My wife doesn't even want my help wrapping presents. You sure do have a lot of patience.
Because it falls in a different timeline. Genesis 1-11 - the early world (turquoise) Genesis 12-50 - Patriarchs - God blood covenant with Abraham.(burgundy)
Hi Priscilla, did you happen to do a tab video for the Catechism in Year? I purchased the GA Bible so I should have that soon and will use your video for the tabs. Very helpful.
Hi @Isabel, I did order the Catechism tabs but I haven’t received them yet. I don’t know when they will arrive but I hope it will be a very similar process! God bless 💖
Sorry to hear…and yes they are not easy to apply. I would say find someone who likes putting tabs on Bibles, like me lol, and ask them if they wouldn’t mind placing them on for you.
Hello 👋. I don’t own the large print Bible but it looks like it would work wonderfully. Based on Ascension’s website, the large print Bible is over 2 inches longer in length than the regular Great Adventure Bible so you could space out the tabs beautifully without overlapping them.
Hello. I got the Bible Timeline bookmark from Ascension. Mine is an older version since they do update their items every couple of years: ascensionpress.com/products/bible-timeline-bookmark God bless!
😭 I wish I would’ve looked for a video before putting the tabs on because I followed the guide because I thought there was some rhyme or reason to why we had to put them on according to it, and I hate how they laid out. I wish I would’ve just followed the color markings on the page. I almost want to buy a new Bible and tabs 😖😭🫣

I’m so glad it helped you! God bless your journey through the Bible 🙏💖

Yay! And yes!! for offering up the anxiety for someone in purgatory!! Let nothing go to waste. God bless!

@@priscilamae8720 I think I earned all the fruits of the Holy Spirit applying those tabs! I did tape the color key to the inside of my Bible.
Thanks for the video! It helped me out a lot. I still managed to make some mistakes at the start. But they're minor. It was actually relaxing to do.
This was very helpful, thank you. The music added a good touch to it too 🙂
Good video ... very helpful , new sub ... tyfs !!! 😊
I followed the tabs that are already there in the Bible
That’s all you have to do. She makes a whole science out of it. They show you where they go. But hey some people need to be extra.

I am so lost. Why can’t I just line it up with the Bible markings? I don’t understand at all 🤯
