In Memoriam

BRIAN SMITH (January 1945 - July 2024)
“Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am.” - John 17:24
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Brian Smith.
Brian began SavedandKept in 2011.
Having reached retirement, Brian's desire was to share the glorious message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with as many as he could.
In his own words, Brian said: “I would like to spend whatever further time God grants me, in encouraging and sharing with others, God's goodness and mercy through Christ. My prayer would be: ‘O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works’ (Psalm 71:17).”
The Lord has certainly answered that prayer.
Videos on SavedandKept have now been seen nearly 15 million times, with over 150,000 people watching each week.
We were pleased in November 2023 to formally link the channel to Calvary Free Presbyterian Church, Magherafelt, Northern Ireland, and to livestream their services each week. We know that this has been a blessing to many.
When he started this channel, Brian had no idea just how far-reaching it would be, with viewers from around the globe.
We praise and thank God for Brian’s life and the desire he was given to share the Saviour that he came to know and love many years ago.
He is now with his Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, whom to be with is far better.
“For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” - 2 Timothy 1:12

Lovely tribute thank you. It was this channel that the Lord used to bring me back to Himself in April 2021.. So pleased it will continue, Brian is with His Lord, 'which is far better'
