The trick for me with brushing my tongue and avoiding gagging is sticking it out all the way and slightly humming thru my nose while the throat is closed and scrubbing my tongue. Also you should get a metal scraper!
That face mask is meant to “burn”. The purpose of the clay is to bring the blood flow to your skin, aka squeezing your face as it dries. It does this to help heal acne scars and stuff. It’s supposed to feel weird lol
