To run in a marathon it takes a lot of strength (physically, mentally & emotionally.) While your running, it's one of the most amazing things to see strangers cheering for everyone running in it all along the course. To finish is one of the greatest accomplishments in someone's life. Your already a bundle of mixed emotions when you cross the finish line. I couldn't even begin to imagine what the runners felt after tragedy struck at the Boston marathon. Joe's emotions might explain it.
Joe I know that speech u just gave touched my heart so much. it made me so scared thinking about about family and all the things around me. I'm thankful for u and that speech wow u really touched me and ty

I was a Donnie Girl for over 25 years til I finally met them 7.9.13 in Tacoma for the 1st time. Flipped to Joe right after the M&G. Joe was so sweet and warm, gave me a sweet hug and a beautiful smile. My knees actually went weak to see him so close for the first time...not from a row in the audience. Donnie couldn't even smile for me and I was sooo excited. He didn't even say thank you when I said I left Lumpy a gift. :( Bless Joey's heart though. I'm gonna dedicated my Boston Run to him.
This man right here is the most of my inspiration to run my own Boston Marathon...been in training ever since 'that day'. My heart...that day waiting to hear if Joey was okay... Bless his heart...love him. This makes me cry.
