Thanks, very good tutorial, I have the exact same problem of not getting any distance on the flip, I've cased the take off lip on occasions, other tutorials are not really that informative, your tutorial has better explained the physics of what's going on and how to correct the problem - nice 1 :-)
After I've watched your video, I tried it with my downhill bike in an airbag. Your tips helped me a lot! It's such an amazing feeling when you are upside-down in the air. A video with all my attempts will follow. What I've experienced: - NEVER let your bike go! - First attempt: landing wilful on my back and don't let my bike go, to get over the fear about "crashing" and get used to the backward rotation. - Following attempts: landed on my head a few times, but nothing happend to me and neither to my riding buddies. - Main problem was: I've worked against the lip and didn't look back -> so I killed the flip - 2 weeks later, other airbag and other jump with a steeper takeoff, I've managed to land my first backflip onto both wheels after 10-13 attempts. - Main injuries: A few scratches and a ripped-off ass, because I manualed to much on the takeoff, so that my ass hit the tire ^^
Already have done a few flips to dirt, but a few days ago I had the most painful crash I’ve ever experienced trying to flip. After watching this I feel confident(dumb) enough to try to flip again. Thanks bro🤘
I was always scared to flip because I have a downhill bike and. i have mad respect for the guys riding rampage and fest series because they can flip a downhill bike with a big gap. People always told me it's gonna be really hard to flip a downhill bike and I didn't know if it was true or not, although its just me and my bud we are teenagers still in highschool that just ride downhill bikes in the midwest where downhill isn't really a thing but we got some decent dirt jumps for them
Great tutorial! Awesome breakdown! If you teach a class, I would love to attend. But you did such a great job explaining, think all I need now is a foam pit. Thank you!
Love the tips! I've done quite a few into waterand they come easy just never have worked up the guts to do it on land! Been away from biking for a few years now but would love to get back into it and would love to flip. Pretty much just love flipping any and everything
Thanks heaps! I sent my first flips to dirt after watching this but unfortunately I'm still struggling to clear the double like you've mentioned. I've 50/50 or frame cased at least 12-13 times and only rode out of one. I tried bending my knees to try and flip later but I can't help but pull back and spin so fast! I was told to drive through with my hips more but I've yet to try it.
hey Nic I have a question. whenever I flip I nose case the takeoff pretty much every time. I try to wait till my front wheel is off the lip but it still isnt working.
I could flip in the foampit 4 years ago when i was 12 when i was riding bmx for a few months. Now i have started riding again and i have a verry little ramp with a sortof rezi landing. Is this a good idea?
Bro, i try to flip once before on a foampit and i underrotated. So my bike fell on my leg. That hurt so much. And now i live in other city. So there is a friend that has a rezi on his house. ¿Any advice to try it directly on the rezi?
it all depends on your confidence. I personally tried it on a dirt jump before anything else. But for others, I would say its safer and smarter to do into something safer, however with proper knowledge and confidence its not a bad idea. Just trust you an do it
An airbag is great for learning to flip! I honestly don't think you will land upside down. Worst case would be on your shoulders and you'll be fine in the bag
This is a great breakdown!
Glad you liked it!
best tutorial out there! helped so much! Thanks bro
Excellent turtorial.. cant wait to try this!

Thank you! This is helping me clear a set of doubles at my local bike park jumpline
As an old ass man that is going to learn to backflip, this is by far one of the best explanations of how to do it.
Make sure you look for the landing when your upside down, where you eyes are is where you will be.
Awesome. Great tips. Hope to do my first flip soon
Did you do one?

If i can’t flip on a trampoline will i be able to flip a bike or do i need to learn flips on tramp first???
Actually chalked full of really helpful shit

Nice Video!
DUUUUUUUDE best flip tut EEEVER I am able to flip already but I had the same thing with the distance ...
Yeah the distance is hard at first which Is why i really tried to stress it in this video.
yah you hit it!

sick vid
I can flip, but I watched. How loyal remeber me when you hit 1 million 😂💯💯!
Awsome
What do I do if I dont have any foam pits or airbags near me ? Shall I buy body armour?
Really good video mate, I hope I can make it, I’ll let you know
Ps: gonna do it on my downhill bike
You can do it for sure. It's no different on a downhill bike really. Just need a good jump.
I wonder if he made it.
Hey! What first trick you suggest to add to backflip? What is the easiest and has low risk?
Flip no hander or flip x up for sure
Possibly flip can
hey do u always read new messages on older videos? I subscribed to ur channel and really like it and is helping me
Hey man! Yeah I always try to respond to comments on all my videos when I can! I’m glad my videos are helping you!
Always when I try The backflip, when I’m in the air I let go. So I literally do nothing. How can I learn the flip without let going my bike?
dont let go of it...
Yeah i can already do flips like 7 months now
Do you think it's a bad idea just to send it for the first time on a dirt jump?
it all depends on your confidence. I personally tried it on a dirt jump before anything else. But for others, I would say its safer and smarter to do into something safer, however with proper knowledge and confidence its not a bad idea. Just trust you an do it
Thanks dude I appreciate it!
just go for it man hahahaha
how do you feel about learning a flip on an airbag? I have no idea how bad it is to land on your head on a bagjump
An airbag is great for learning to flip!
I honestly don't think you will land upside down. Worst case would be on your shoulders and you'll be fine in the bag
awesome, there is one right next to my hotel
