𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝟰 𝗡𝗲𝘄s

In a desperate attempt to legitimise trail hunting the BHSA have been on TV stating the claim that hounds go mad for the scent of clove oil (?!!) - cut to footage of hounds quite obviously not going mad for it. Yikes.
Quickly followed by Julian Barnfield stating "𝑖𝑛 𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑠 𝑤𝑒'𝑣𝑒 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑑 𝑎 𝑙𝑜𝑡 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑎𝑛 𝑐𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑖𝑛, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔. 𝑊𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑎𝑑𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑑, 𝑤𝑒'𝑣𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑑, 𝑤𝑒'𝑣𝑒 𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑔𝑜𝑡 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑑𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑢𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑦 𝑓𝑎𝑣𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠..." it must have slipped their mind that Barnfield himself did them no favours when he was convicted of illegal fox hunting in 2012. Awkward.
We can only hope that the next Government are paying attention and that a proper hunting ban, that is properly enforced (we're looking at you Warwickshire Police), is forthcoming.
