The guy in orange is a frickin legend, what a wholesome dude.

Dunno about wholesome but
Creepy*
Absolutely
True
"They think we have beutiful skin"
Everyone in the video:
leonardo f ikr... did a single one of them have acne? I don’t think so... lol. Although I *have* seen Japanese people with acne and spots, so it’s obviously not all East Asian/Japanese people :)
Did you miss the guy at 2:17?
They do, tho. At least compared to us south asians for sure
@@tacocatt6808 I think Acne is an America problem lol. I've seen like 3 people with acne in my whole life as an Italian
Well sometimes you can't be surprised if a few of them actually went for surgery for their "beautiful skin" but I'm not saying they don't have beautiful skin tho
The fact that the orange hoodie guy provided his Elsa cosplay footage to be shared in this video tho 😎👍🏻
The guy with the orange sweater was a fan of moe stuff, cosplayed as Elsa, and was into tentacle porn. I guess he absorbed all the stereotypes so that the others wouldn't. But he was also the funniest one.
he is a man of culture xD
He's just one of us
Hahahah true! There was definitely a pattern lmao
mad respect for him
Personally, I can't and never will understand tentacle porn. That's borderline bestiality, literally getting turned on by an octopus.
“I cosplayed as Elsa”- it was at this moment I knew, I was going to die laughing
The fact they actually FOUND FOOTAGE of it is quite something !..
That guy is an absolute legend
You didn't have to say this. Just let it go.
@@MedK001 bruh this is over a year old
And the fact that he admitted to watching tentacle porn lmao
The fact that they never show their feelings or opinions is kinda sad even the little kid said he never show his feelings
Ray Dva Japanese people do “hide” their feelings more than normal but everyone does it to some extent, literally everyone
It's not sad I think they just don't put such meaning in sharing their opinions. And of course it depends on the situation.
It's not that they never show them to _anybody_, they just don't tend to show them _publicly_.
It's about not letting the other person feel bad. If you get a present from a friend and you don't like it, do you tell them and make them feel bad or say "Thanks" and put it away.
I think it really depends on the person more than anything. As not everyone may be like that. However, yes, generally speaking Japanese people are like that. It comes down to the tatemae/honne aspect. It’s like at home you may not be that way, but in public you are. It’s like wearing a mask really. The mask may not reflect what you truly feel on the inside. However, Japanese from a young age are taught to always show respect to everyone and their elders and always be polite no matter the situation really. I sadly am the same way though. I’m Japanese American, raised in the U.S., but was born in Japan. I can definitely say that I’m not one to show my feelings or opinions really and that I’m a very private and personal type of person. I think that all Asian cultures practice this type of aspect to a certain degree though.
he: "i dont watch porn"
his girl: "ye right.."
does this mean he doesn't need to?
This mean she dont let him watch porn its passive agressive
They look more like friends tbh

People think all Japanese are polite and stuff like it's not true it depends on person to person.. in every country
its sterotype, japanese are more polite than other coutries, that's a fact.
A stereotype gets created when something is true, of course it doesn't reflect EVERYONE but many . that's why stereotype are born.
Of course it depends from person to person, i was in japan for 3 months, and even though sometimes its easy to see is fake, they are indeed very polite, most of them.

as an japanese i often do get told "you're japanese??? you're so lucky! " or "i wish i was born japanese" and i often feel counfused i get that a lot of people like our country for it's media and environment but we east asians are treated as gods and goddesses and i don't think we're all that great truly. we were just born here, it's nothing that special, sure we're quite clean and sure we're developed in some places than other countries but we're not GODS just humans, there's nothing THAT special about being borned as a specific person from a specific country like i have to admit that i do really hate our country at times our judical system is the really worst and we have high suicides rates . there are instances online where many pretend to be japanese and its quite obvious because they mention about how great it is being japanese and post about it everywhere and give people misconceptions about our country being the best. not everyone here is nice just be proud of your own country ok please? it's also common that some (SOME i say) foreigners are just into south asians and why? because we're cute? it is quite offensive that they are always like "you're japanese so you have to be pretty." " you're japanese so you like __" and whatnot...i often see titles like "PRANKING MY JAPANESE/KOREAN boyfriend." what is the need to specifically state your lovers country? to get more viewers? i dont see any " PRANKING MY AMERICAN boyfriend."
yeah this is basicaly just a rant about japan really and im super sorry about any mistakes in the grammar and all im the quite fluent in it but im not amaaaaazing at it....i hope not many people take offence im not saying that all us japanese are rude and all just clarifying that we're not superior to any other countries and i hate being compaired to other asian countries too

I teach English to Japanese adults and yes not everyone is polite. There is tatemae and there is honne and it is really hard to distinguish their genuine feelings.
the problem about lying all the time, is that in the end you yourself will not be able to distinguish them.
reason why tatemae and honne are very dangerous and japanese doesn't realize this.
they are lie nonetheless, and if you say them all the time everyday, like they do. This is the consequances, even the interviews will be empty and not interesting since you have no idea, if they say what they think, or what they think you want to hear.
Ken narville hey jealousy korran

SS Acting polite to a mere stranger is another thing, right.
SS
acting polite to not hurt someone is also done in neighboring countries of japan albeit it gets toned down the farther the country is from japan and east asia in general. in my country in southeast asia, some do this and try to find a sentence phrasing to make it sound better although its not a common thing to do. only sometimes. i suppose in japan, its a common established behavior
5:15 I want to be friends with those girls so bad! They're a hilarious duo xD
Wellll, I've lived in Japan most of the time since 1991, and I think the stereotypes are MOSTLY true. Only difference is the degree. If non-Japanese think that 90% of Japanese are a certain way, in fact maybe only 60% are, but it's still a majority. For example, Japanese women are not ALWAYS passive, but still more passive than Americans! Just look at the way they act in the video: quiet, calm and agreeable
I tend to assume most people think of a stereotype as a common or average trait. When stereotypes are directly addressed, it's often framed as "Not all X are like Y", when most people who hold the stereotype weren't even considering it as a universal. Weirdly enough, it then feels more stereotypical to hear "X people hold wrong beliefs about Y group".
Eh though japanese people in general are more calm and agreeable so anyone going to seem more passive than a loud mouth american lol...

Surface level politeness is definitely better than just straight up being rude and crass. The reason why I think this is better is that, interaction between two strangers are in most cases just an instance. An instance can't be long enough for two strangers to know each other enough to conclude that the other person is reasonably unlikeable. And, if they do conclude they are unlikeable just from that instance, it's really just mundane annoyance without any substance because it's easier to deal with things of that level of significance that way. The fact that they are that considerate of the other person over their own just to not mess with anyone's day in any way is already a great standard to hold and is really admirable.

And I don't know if it's a good thing to have it confirmed by a native.
yea i really thought they were all anime-loving sushi-chef samurai cosplayers who watch tentacle smut
I gave in, I've finally subscribed to this channel!!!
These are really great videos
Asian Boss is one of my favorite channels on here. Keep up the great work guys!
This video seems to focus on Western stereotypes of Japanese women but not on Western stereotypes of Japanese men. I wish they spoke to more men because they are more negatively maligned from Westerners than the women are.
HindsightPOV oh yeah, westerners think they're nerdy, weak, girly, their women don't like them and so on.
I think the absence of male stereotypes goes along with what the girl in the blue shirt is saying, most of the foreign focus on Japan is on the women, some foreign men are very expectant of Japanese women and fetishize them a lot and totally cast Japanese men aside.
Oshini Gamage And they get jealous as hell when they see a Japanese or other Asian man with a fine-ass white girl lol, someone clearly out of their league (just look up STPeach and her husband and the online harassment they go through). Lol, the fragility.
HindsightPOV I wouldn’t say that’s true. I have many positive impressions of Japanese men, and Japanese people in general. They strike me as considerate, thoughtful, hard working, with a sense of humor and appreciation of camaraderie and friendship (even if friendship doesn’t come easily-perhaps it’s even regarded more highly because of that). They also have a deep appreciation for art and culture, which I appreciate.
1:26 cuteness overloaded, that guy is so cute and the way they both say together is so cute, I'm melting.
This is quality content right here!
Do Japanese people say "Itadakimasu" like they show in anime just before they start eating lunch or dinner?
Yes that is true..
@@usemymemefornoreason3215 i see... do they say that even in restaurants and public places?
@@deepakj4833 yes also in restaurants ... but they say very softly such that they were just whispering it to someone.. else in the restaurant :)
0:43 that's actually very true of most asian people, not only japanese girls.
S L or just non western people (from a turkish persons view)
Other way around, it started with south east Asian women. Who pretend to worship white guys to get out of their crap countries, then from there the idea that Asian women love white men was built by these white reject guys. And they just decided to throw in the most developed Asian countries into the same category as the Philippines. Even though it's the total opposite.
thank you, i loved it!
could you do China next?
The legend Hiroko !! 🤘🤘🤘
why does the girl in the blue shirt sound like shes on the edge of tears
