We usually can't see the good sometimes, however, i am assuming that hanumanji wanted you to get closer to him and so to get you to listen to his chalisa everyday and so your Karma also caused the problem you faced, however every difficulty has equal opportunity.. and the problem was caused as God wanted you to get closer to him.. every human born here on earth is subject to pain and happiness but know that the difficulties help mold us into greater devotees with higher Bhakti for God..Continue to listen to this Bhajan and ask the Lord to show you the way..keep believing and never give up.
