I play on the Nintendo switch from time to time, and controlling that is a nightmare. But then this video made me try controller on pc. And turns out its not that bad when you have enough fps and resolution to see what you're even aiming at.
Maybe it's just me but I find JQ duels so depressing to watch. Just two ladies aggressively wet-noodling each other and never dying until someone else gets involved or one of them ults (provided the ult doesn't immediately get cleansed).
Im jumping with right click and melee by scrolling my mousewheel forward. Mousewheel backwards is still switching weapons, and as long as there are no heroes with more then 2 weapons I'll be fine.
The only thing preventing controller players from hitting higher peaks is themselves with the stigma of how bad they're considered and aim assist stopping them from learning to play the fuckin game

Controller players are missing a bunch of crucial settings from other shooters and makes them incredibly hard to customize anything aside from sens or aim assist which is fucking wonky as well. As it stands sticks will always be lacking in some form aim wise so we literally have to pick our sacrifice per character, which also hampers our growth because we have to practice on different sens per character, sometimes WAY different sens because certain characters need incredibly high settings to do certain pc techniques like ghost dash, and they’ll still be worse than pc. You think aim assist is a crutch? Give us something else to work with dammit!
Aim assist is necessary cause aiming on a joystick has deadzones and other issues vs point and click style aim. You might have a point in other games but Overwatch doesn't even have rotational Aim Assist so it's kind of a moot point here.
This keyboard conversation highlights why I hate the Keyboard aspect of M&K. I just want a 1 handed controller with an analog in my left hand and the mouse in my right hand at this point
I'm a controller gamer but I like to setup Steam input so my gyro acts as my right joystick. Makes me wish they would just fix it so it uses the gyro settings from the Switch version.

I came from console and my pinky never got used so it's actually hopeless for me to try to crouch with ctrl - so it's actually bound to one of my thumb buttons on my mouse, along with melee. I used to also have reload bound to my mouse but I forced myself to learn to use R for reloading
Does PC Overwatch have the dual zone aiming system like console? That’s my main struggle as a console Ana. Setting sensitivity so you have fast look speed, but if it’s too fast you just can’t hit sleeps and hipfire shots. If you set too low you just can’t dual any flanker. I find it really tricky.
All of my abilities are left mouse right mouse and scroll wheel. Interact is mouse button 4 and button 5 is crouch all my left hand does is wasd. My right hand does everything else
Controller on pc isnt so bad if you know how worn in your sticks are and your settings match it respectively. Some characters are easier to play but not being able to spin quickly is a big concern.
M5 melee and m4 crouch. Was console ow player and got a pc 2 yrs ago. it was weird to hit control to crouch and V to melee. I have melee on m5 and crouch on m4. It made sense but thought it was weird but found out its common with casuals. yes I know it makes aim inconsistent but it feels comfortable and natural. Am trying to use ctrl and v now.

Yes, because PC players complain about controller's Aim-assist. So in a PC lobby, they get rid of controller's Aim-assist and it becomes that much harder to aim, even though PC has 1000x more other benefits than controller 🤦♂️ hypocrites

I play controller and I have the left trigger set to jump on almost all of my dps so I can jump while shooting without using claw grip :)

I have a 60% keyboard and don’t have the typical left ctrl. So I use c to crouch, melee on mouse 4, voice mouse 5, v for the interaction wheel.
