Animal care staff work with the animals closely several times a day and are able to tell them apart just by looking at their faces. Several of our sea lions are rescues, so the public can easily tell which one is Mona - she is blind in both eyes, so it always looks like she's got her eyes closed - and Sabiena, who had one eye removed, so she always looks like she's winking.

Lennydotdotdot If you meant the repetitive noise in the background it’s the whistle(bridge)the trainers are using. It tell the sea lions that they’ve done the correct behavior that was asked and they will get a reward(fish, ice, jello, toys or tactile from a trainer)
