- Voicing is fun, but for those who need convincing here's something to try at your piano!
The piece discussed is J. S. Bach’s Sinfonia No. 2 in C-minor, BWV 788 (ca. 1720-23). (Performance at 33:49).
In this video, I tried out some new ideas and while I'm not pleased with certain things, I think others did work. I am trying to improve my content, I want to make things nice for you.

Thank you so much!💙
thank you so much this helps a lot
Oh I am glad to hear it, thank you! I had fun making that one. 😀🎹
Hi Penny, thanks for sharing, Bach's music is challenging. This piece is very beautiful, I might give it a try.
Thank you! It is a really murky, delicious piece, I hope you will enjoy working on it!✨
Very instructive, thank you. And I loved the way you put your 'stamp' on the final performance. It was a bit different from other versions I've heard.
Thank you so much, Jane! 🎶
Thank you very much Maestro Penny. Bach requires expert assistance for amateurs to practice.
Thank you! As time goes by, I find that the ability to go from the exterior to the interior, as Gaston Bachelard wrote in his book, The Poetics of Space, is as much the secret ingredient to this music as it is to have strong fingers and good technique. Happy practicing to you!
Great video and fun thumbnail to go with it too!
Thank you so much! I have very elementary skill when it comes to technology and so was pleased to figure out how to remove the background (Bach-ground, ha) from a photo and how to draw on the computer (in this case, the silhouette heads.) I had the vision of it all in my head, though and it took many attempts to make that tiny thumbnail!😅
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you, Mary!🎶
Merci pour ce tutoriel très intéressant et instructif. A revoir au moins 10 fois pour en retenir tous les enseignements. Et une belle performance qui illustre l'analyse.
Thank you so much, Susann!!💛

Hi Penny! Thank you for your video!!
Hello Nina! Thank you for watching!
I'm here to say thank you again!! I've been studying this since 01/03, and today I finally memorized every note (separately in voices) thanks to this great video lesson. ❤
That’s wonderful to hear! Congratulations to you!! Thank you so much!🥰🎹
Very well done. I like how you explained the voices. Your playing is very expressive.
Thank you so much!🎹
Quite interesting video. Thanks !

Thank you! I'm glad it's helpful!🎹
I like to imagine the bassoon as the bass voice, especially with the 16th note runs like in the 3rd sinfonia.
@@lightball1414 Ah yes, great idea!🎵
There's the ricercare a6 which has six voices in it, but I doubt that there's anything other than that
