1:58:50 you cannot double down after you have already hit your hand. You can only double down on your initial 2 cards.

at 37:41. dealer hits on a 14 when we have a 13, but since he already has more than us, why would the dealer hit, wouldn't he automatically win since he went from 13 to 14 and we had 13? I would think dealer would stand unless he's letting us win
Dealer has a set of rules they play by. They must hit until they get to 17 or higher, in which case they stand.
@@zacharymaddox3345 the rules wouldn't dictate that the dealer should choose to win over possibly busting and letting the player win? I thought casino's were more money hungry than that lol
@@DeadSpacedOutyou choose to stay according to basic strategy because of the way dealer has to behave. If dealer could behave the way you describe then people would hit the 13 but that's not the rules
@@DeadSpacedOutThe dealer has no choice, they’re not “playing” like everyone else at the table is. They have to hit until they have at least 17.
@@charlesearley9698 how many people actually play according to strategy though, most people I know actually don't and actually lose money as a result and that's part of the reason things like Casino's stay in business lol
