I love the traditional Asian way of ingredients prep, the no-measurement measuring technique. Just all based on feeling. My mom hates it when I bring out the measuring cups lmao.

That's called experience and is done by a lot of people who have been cooking for a long time, especially the same recipes.
From a cook's perspective this is a highly efficient operation and I learned from it. It was curious that they still have fry coating separation problems. The only place i have not seen this happen is with Thai style fried chicken. The cruchy coating hugs the chicken and does not seperate and I think it's because they use rice flour and high ph lime water in the batter. The Korean frying mix works great if you can get it where you live.

이집 통닭 정말 맛있지요 줄서는 이유가 있지. 마트에 9900원짜리 통닭보다 훨씬나아요. 3마리 사다가 하루에 한마리씩 데워먹었는데 여느 치킨은 데워도 터벅터벅한데 그런거 하나도 없고 데워서 먹을때마다 육즙이 있고 촉촉해요. 신기할 따름...

BTW, we are comparing prices, not costs. Prices depend on quality of the finished product.

I share the pain but I think it was done so it doesn't get burnt and ruin the flavor of the oil thus ruining the flavor of chicken cooked later on

어제 옛날 통닭 먹었는데 ㅎㅎ 브랜드 치킨의 블랙알리오, 뿌링클 등등 그런 것도 좋지만 척척 뜯어 먹으며 특유의 담백함과 짭짤 고소 바삭함은 옛날 통닭에서만 느낄 수 있지 않나 싶어용 ㅎㅎ 어린시절 아빠가 갈색 봉투에 사오시던 옛날통닭..

@@jymnds this style makes the fried skin very thin and very crispy. When done right, the meat is tender and juicy! Usually the taste of seasoning is simple, but it just chicken done to a certain perfection. 🤤

I'm not so sure that you can find the specific curry powder out side of korea. It's quite localized.
The sauce is called 양념 치킨 소스(yangnyeom chicken sauce).
