As an Arab girl, I advise anyone who wants to learn the Arabic language to do so by listening and watching. Just bring your childhood cartoon whose events you loved and watch the Arabic dubbing with its translation after learning only the letters. Do this for two hours a day and you will see the results of this after 3 months. I do not advise anyone. Someone learn grammar, it is difficult and it will only make your study difficult
Dear Carol, I would like to express my gratitude for your exceptional work teaching my language. I watched this video months ago and this is the second time. And For those who want to learn Arabic, if want to learn it quickly, in addition to utilizing resources like Carol's videos, mastering the basic structures will alleviate much of the confusion. While I am not a teacher, and I am not very fluent in English, I believe that if I were learning Arabic myself, giving sometime to these basic structures would greatly alleviate my confusion. Just the basics, don't confuse yourself with the high level structures at first, maybe later. Back and forth between structures and videos like this, you'll progress fast. As an Arab myself, I believe that it is a huge undertaking to learn Arabic if your mother-tongue is not in Arab letters or script (Persian-Urdu). And especially if you are older than 25. So if you are this person, you need to join a school and a teacher who will engage you and have a curriculum and properly build it up not just start by saying hi how are you.

The worst thing about Arabic, is that after sweating over all this stuff for years, you will come to UAE or Egypt and realise that you understand very little, and that your Standard Arabic is not used by anyone around you. So you will end up speaking English most of the time, because their English will be far better than your Arabic. The end.

I'm speaking arabic and i want to talk with english native speaker to improve my pronunciation and help him too🤗♥️
This is no small gesture. I see tremendous effort to ensure foreign people coming into the US are supported in every way to learn the language and almost nothing is done to ensure that THIS community (wherever) can speak the language of the people coming and coming and coming. I respectfully thank you for your service and for having a true heart of Islam.. to enlighten ALL people. She is teaching MORE than just Arabic…
I have so much respect for people who can speak more than 1 language. You are all extremely intelligent. The discipline is top notch.
I would appreciate any tips for trying to learn arabic as someone over 30 😢😢

The worst thing about Arabic, is that after sweating over all this stuff for years, you will come to UAE or Egypt and realise that you understand very little, and that your Standard Arabic is not used by anyone around you. So you will end up speaking English most of the time, because their English will be far better than your Arabic. The end.
But if you tried, you'll notice how supportive they are in getting you to learn.
Hmm
صحيح نحن لا نستعمل الفصحى في كلامنا . كل بلد عربي له لهجته الخاصة .
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Goldy Ponce
Arab people don't use the accent that she teaches us in this video, I've traveled to Iraq since 2011 I found them speaking another accent, they could understand me when I spoke the original accent of Arabic but because they speak Iraq accent, I didn't understand it
I'm from Sudan and my mather language is Arabic and as an Arabic man I see that your Arabic is great, keep teaching Arabic to the American or any other people
I am Arab, I love the English language, and I hope to learn it
Which Arabic dialect is it.🇪🇬??
I am a persian speaker and I find Arabic pretty easy to learn. Although we were thought high-level arabic at school which was totally hard.
You found it easy cuz we share the script almost and a lot of Persian is derived from Arabic. But as you said it is hard to learn proper Arabic.
It's beautiful but it's quite tough, specially when you can't memorise the noun words. And words are quite lengthy as well but I'll learn it for sure!

As a Pakistani American it’s easier to pick up Arabic. I already speak 3 other languages fluently but now it’s time to learn my wife’s native tongue.
I’m living in pain because i’m 50% arabic, but can’t speak arabic because my father never spoke it to me much from when i was born, he mostly spoke norwegian to me because of my mother who is norwegian. And now i can’t stand it anymore not being able to speak a language i actually should be. And Yes i have asked my father to teach me, but he’s too busy to help me so i’ll have to learn it on my own.
May Allah make it easy for you and us too all-Ameen
thats such a shame.. i'll never understand Arab parents who refuse to make an effort in passing down their language to their children. also the fact that its the Arabic language makes it all the more depressing. Arabic is so extremely rich and poetic i highly encourage you start as soon as possible. try searching for Arabic courses in uni in your city ( if offered of course). im sure you can find online classes as well. best of luck to you habibi!
@Selma .M. you should feel very proud of yourself for putting the effort to reconnect to your roots. bravo! we have a saying in the Arab world that goes (مصر أم الدنيا) which means " Egypt is the mother of the world" in reference to how great of a nation Egypt is. i really recommend watching Egyptian movies (there are so many on netflix) as well as listening to Egyptian songs, which is a MUST is every Arab home. check out "The Arab National Orchestra" all their songs are from our Arab heritage that our parents and grandparents grew up with. best of luck to you too habibti!
