    That pie looked really good. I really like the Balfours brand pies. They are packed with flavour.
    A pie is good when you can eat it with one hand!

      I 100% agree, pies that fall apart are bloody horrible! And it tasted really good. I know it’s full of emulsifiers etc but it still tasted great ha ha

    Very good review king
    Even came home and put it up on the big tv instead of my phone so the wife and kids could watch….
    Definitely don’t disappoint 👑
    Feeling maybe a sushi review and a special but also random drink review 👌👌

    Excellent review Rapid. I need to know how we got the pie from the oven to a beautiful location to review. Hopefully the trip was short.

      To be honest that area is under a minute from me so it was still piping hot!

    Not worth paying full price for, awesome review 😊

      @Rapid_Australia  13 дней назад +2

      Definitely not, $12 is a bit much for two pies but 1/2 price is good.

    i'm a farmer, and some years back, the laws were changed with regards to what can be considered as protein, and put in foods such as meat pies, mucus membranes and testicles were two, i think bull penis's as well, ..

    • @Rapid_Australia
      @Rapid_Australia  13 дней назад +2

      Well it’s all form of protein right!!! Either way these pies tasted the goods 👍

      @@Rapid_Australia yeah and cockroaches can be considered a form of protein as well, i'm not having a go at you, my point is, we used to have all beef in the meat pies , that is why they were called meat pies, back in the early 1970's they were 20 cents each, and were bloody good, not all full of gravy and thickeners, just beef and damn good pastry, crispy crust, not todays soggy crap. back in the days when bakers acually cared about what they produces, .

      @@jackhammer4996These days anything you buy premade is rubbish! Better make it yourself at home 😊😊

      20c for a meat pie back in the day would of been fantastic! I appreciate your comment and definitely understand that these days to cut costs they add everything but meat. In saying that, and taking into consideration todays financial cluster, this pie was up there as a favourite and I would definitely buy it again.

      @@Rapid_Australia yep, back in the older days, 50 years ago, 20c for a meat pie, they were damn good, the pastry chefs made delicious. hand made pies, multi layered, crispy crust, ..these day's to increase profits, they add everything but meat..it did look yummy though, the pie you ate.

  • @multioptioned

    Ok on special but not at full price! All meat pies have to contain 25% meat minimum. But what passes for "meat" is the worry.

    • @Rapid_Australia
      @Rapid_Australia  13 дней назад +3

      It definitely tasted pretty good, so fingers crossed the meat I ate was meat ha ha

    this whole thing with people wanting chuncks of meat in there pies is a new thing back when pies were first made it was bits of everything of the cow minced up ..personally i don't like chunks of beef in my pie i like minced meat pies

    • @Rapid_Australia
      @Rapid_Australia  12 дней назад +1

      Ye completely understand that mate. I am a fan of the meat especially if it’s soft and falls to pieces. Minced pies aren’t bad but I personally like the ones with chunks.

    That's cheap half price even full price considering you can pay as much as $10 for a pie at the shop, don't like thick pastry though, have you tried a Fray Bentos steak and kidney pie with puff pastry in the tin soldiers ate them back in the day, very nice but be warned you need the right can opener to get into it

    • @Rapid_Australia
      @Rapid_Australia  12 дней назад +1

      Can’t say I have ever tried a Fray Bentos steak and kidney pie before mate. If I ever get a chance I will give it a crack!
