Shouts out to this team (and NappyTabs) for bringing back soul and swag to this category! Lately all the routines have been reminding me of robotic cheerleading routines. The formations and visuals were just incredible too.
Omg I can't with this powerful emotional routine....did someone cut onions? I'm not crying I swear! Hands down a incredible way to respond after all that happened near those students area. This routine was beyond words can explain with a true old school feel. These athletes delivered a visual poem/message for the world! My god I have goose bumps & chills watching this...magnificent job to the incredible dancers on the floor Yall Did That Hontey YASSSS! Hands down of the top college hip hop routines of all time without second thought! #VegasStrong #JustTheWayItIs
Nick Craig thanks for the comment! I still get choked up every time I watch it. My daughter is one of the dancers (the W) and this routine is the highlight of her college career. It meant so much to all of them and I know they’d be proud to know it still touches people more than 2 years later. #vegasstrong
I always wondered if any of these college dance teams would ever do an artistic hip hop routine like this, I'm really glad someone finally did! They 100% deserved this win ! Reminded me of the routines you'd see at VIBE dance competition or Body Rock dance competition or Dancers Paradise or World Hip Hop Internationals or World of Dance.
