For mass production to expand for the Orcadians, reach out to their Nordic Scandinavian bloodlines, aswell as 🇩🇰 denmark , Cyprus 🇨🇾 ,and Germany 🇩🇪. ❤
Do Orkadians actually get to eat this stuff at fair local prices? I'm from Prince Edward Island (in Canada) where we grow potatoes, but I live in Ontario, where I can buy PEi potatoes for half the price. Similarly, a lobster dinner in Maine (USA) is often cheaper than one in Charlottetown, although the Lobster comes from PEI.
yea but Canada and usa have processed food in Orkney we only produce high quality products hence why we win awards every year for the food we produce I personally have never had lobster so in terms of prices I don't know if its cheap or expensive but what I can guarantee is every food made in Orkney is made of high quality products hope that helps.
It's possible that it is an issue of supply. Maine for example, is known for lobster and has probably a lot more tourism than PEI. So, if you have 30 restaurants in Portland Maine selling lobster dinners, some of them will naturally lower their prices in order to compete and gain the business, where if you only have 3-4 restaurants in a given area in PEI, well, they may not have access to as much of the lobster supply, and they may not have the desire or ability to lower their prices. A fun semi-related though mostly unrelated fact, Allagash Brewing Company's biggest market is ironically in San Diego California. Southern Californians buy more Maine-made Belgian beer than any other region in the US. But back to lobster, if you want cheap lobster, go down to the docks and meet a fisherman, some of the independent ones are willing to take cash on the spot, especially if you become a regular. They're easy to cook, and you can get some really nice lobsters straight off the boat for less that way.
@@cameron111121 i think its the major issue nowaday , you have to pay for " clean" food . this is disgusting . everybody should have acces to proper food . i'm french i live in scotland , i'm workin in a michelin star restaurant as a commis , i've never seen scallops and lobster that tasty and that fresh , however , i'm still waiting to taste again the tomatoes from mom's garden grown in my deep burgundy village, probably a bit of nostalgy here , but i'm pretty sure , veggies aren't the same anymore and this is so sad
