Here is a highly requested updated to the viral $4000 dreambox that holds all my art supplies! It actually has some broken parts that to be honest I feel shouldn't have happened so I wanted to update on that! This is the Dreambox 3 by Create Room and overall I still love this thing, I'd love to try the new Dreambox 4 to see if these issues are gone or not!

Hello! A ton of the brand new and lightly used art supplies I got rid of during today’s video I’ve put a massive box together for one of you! I’m fundraising to raise money to go towards a foundation helping those in natural disasters like Hurricane Helene, and the LA Wildfires. You can enter the raffle here! For every $5 you donate you get an entry into it✨

Donated!!!
I’m not sure how heavy the stuff you have on top is, but that might be part of the ‘bowing’ issue as well? Either way, it looks great! Can’t wait to see another update down the road!
Yes that’s what I immediately thought too. If it is constantly straining for ‘breath’ from overloading it, there’s no doubts his functionality and strength will be compromised.
Hi Chloe, for the art closet I would select one of the shelf and place it around the middle and screw it in place from the outside in and make the shelf permanent. It will help to keep everything straight and strong. ♥
Chloe, two bits of feedback on this video. 1) You look utterly adorable with your baby bump. And 2) it may be moisture that has caused your dream cabinet to bow at that point, or it could have been damaged during the move which is likely also, or maybe it's a bit of both, or it's the weight loaded on top of the cabinet, who knows, but either ways, it's an easy fix. As is the door that never shuts properly. Keep on going sweetie, I love you and your channel. God bless you, hubby, and your unborn child.
You have a Cricut. Get vinyl and cut out your own labels. You can use a nice font and customize the labels. I did this on a drawer set and just used regular decal vinyl and printed out paint, ink, brushes etc.
Great idea! I still don’t fully know how to use it and I’ve lost the cable in the move too so I need to locate it 😂
You might be able to use Bluetooth to the circuit.
I would totally watch a video of you learning to use the Cricut and making lables. I am thinking of getting one and any videos I have seen are people that already seem to know what they're doing. I would love to watch the process of someone learning and doing (even making mistakes. And I love watching people organise and label @@ChloeRoseArt
I'd be so upset if i spent that much on furniture and it warped within a few years. My art storage is so ugly, but it didn't cost much and it's not warped yet. Despite the fact i live by the sea and the humidity here is really bad.
Still really love seeing art supplies all organised though 😅
I’d put the small boxes that go in the narrow gap back, it should help with the bowing of the selves next to it to help stop the bins falling out.
I just wrote the exact same thing. It needs pressure from both sides to be totally straight. At the moment it only has it from one side.
I love a good purge and organize day!!! Its like finding little treasures you left yourself & still feeling good about donating & feeling better because everything is in its place!
For an opinion on the brushes: I prefer shorter. Easier to control, I don't hit my glasses when I'm painting (that's my own skill issue), but I'm also not everyone; some people prefer longer, so maybe you can either make a long and short version or find a way to make a sort of brush extender? Kinda like how they have pencil extenders. Best of luck with everything! 💖💖💖
This helps me a lot!! Thank you! Your personal opinion absolutely matters because I guarantee you aren’t alone in those thoughts :)
The plastic slide brackets that the organizers slide on may be upside down. Flip them and the L part pointing down may prevent them from falling out. Use L shape bracket this way ⤵️, Not this way ⤴️. Only icon/symbols to use to explain it. Hope you see this. ❤
i loveeeee an organization video and mixing organizing with art supplies is *chef’s kiss* 🤗
Commenting as I watch the video: YES do the miniature house! I prefer shorter handle brushes. Lol the struggle is real with the dogs distracting you! I think I would put some dividers or smaller containers in the larger containers with random stuff, just to contain it a bit better. I do like the paper in the drawers, it looks nice. This looked like a really overwhelming project at the beginning, but you got it done and it looks great!
Thanks for sharing an update on the hot the dreambox has held up! It's great to know the quality/durability for the price
I'm with constant emergency sirens. No matter where I move to, I always seem to be in the direct path of a hospital, an assisted living facility, or a firehouse. I have moved a LOT and it never fails 😳👍.
I watched the video you made when you GOT that Art container box and remember how excited you where. As like for most of us, life takes its toll 😂.
Thanks for making us feel better because if an Artist, we know °EXACTLY° how it goes!
I could definitely fill one of these, because I like lots of different art and crafts - I have little amounts of lots of random things! - so it would become a catch-all creativity cupboard! I’d also bung in finished artwork too, because I never know where to store those ☺️ It’s a big beastie tho, and I’d have nowhere to put it, so it really will stay in the dream category and I will carry on popping everything into random nooks 😄
I love how yours looks, the colour inserts worked so well! And the dogs helped out too, cuties 💛
Also, I think lawnmower guy is representative of a universal phenomenon. Record anything at all, and noise will appear 😂 It’s like unintentional photobombing but with sound.
Transforming Treasures could be a cute title for turning items into different items. Like turning your box into the Crusty Crab, or is it Krusty Crab? Forgive I’m struggling with an illness and my brain is in a fog
I love how you organized your dream box. How I wish I could get one of them! Also, you’re absolutely adorable and glowing! Your little baby bump is so cute on you! I am so happy for you!
It's always the art spaces! The house can be spotless but the art area will get chaotic no matter how type A one can be. At least the clean up doesn't take three years! Looks so much better now, that must feel like such a relief!
@@leialuminous I feel SO much better looking at it and way more inspired now 🤣
To fix those runners for the boxes to slid on, try putting some kind of putty or clay and put some in the holes and then attach the runners back in. It should hold. My fridge has plastic shelves that slid into place, but sometimes one end comes off. I fixed it with a piece of rubber cushioning over the slot and it holds pretty well. Nothing falls off. Just a thought. Great video. 👍💜🥰
The one that was important to me when filling out my dream box was making sure from a sitting position at the table, I could easily reach the supplies I use the most. I didn't want to constantly have to reach too far or get up to grab something out of reach. So, for example, your ohuhu marker station I put it below the fixed shelf on the side door so I can pull the door in and easily reach. Might want to do the same thing with your paint pens. Also, I bought some extra skinny shelves and turned the door skinny shelves into places to put paper pads, canvas boards, wood panels. Also, on my paint caps, I put a small dot of the actual pain on the top to act as a color swatch, works especially well if the paint has white caps.
For those drawer rails that don't seem to stay in place, do you have wood pieces could fit on the rails in the smaller column of space next to it? You could add those in, and it should push the bowing side inwards, and help with the alignment issue.
For the door issue, you could probably get a some sort of L shaped hinge, attaching it to the underside facing up, and have a larger area that the magnet could attach to.
It was doing it before anything was stored on top unfortunately! And yep I mentioned pushing some sort of wood in there to push it back in so it should solve that issue. As for the magnet, none of the edges touch the edges of the main piece so I definitely need something to attach it to so the magnet has something to actually touch!
I replayed the video a few times to get a better look at it (and edited my comments sorry!) I did realize that the issue was on the sides rather than the center.
I was overwhelmed by all the stuff. I have so many areas in my home which need organizing/minimizing. Good for you for tackling your supplies!
As someone who has fallen down many different art and craft rabbit holes I'd have no problem filling this 😂
My supplies more than fill a room! I've only replaced a few paints in the last couple of years as I'm trying to use what I have first. My excuse is I use a lot of it for work too!
Oh no!!! I love mine and it better not break on me. I got the unbuilt one and enjoyed putting it together. Oh, mine is the Dreambox 2.
Oh, my Dad would be so jealous of your Henry! He had three broken ones at one point and i think it broke his heart when i made him get rid of them 😂 In his younger days he'd have fixed them and passed them on or sold them.
So I did completely miss it if you said, but is this real wood, or is it pressboard? Because if it’s pressboard, the warping issue just happens. Especially if you start with putting heavier items on it. We have a friend who’s really good at “IKEA hacking“ and she fixed our show so if you have someone who’s handy with that I would consult with them. And if it’s just press board, then it’s probably a little over priced for that.
I should be embarrassed because I'm not a professional artist, but I could definitely fill one of these up. 😂
I like to dabble in lots of arts and crafts mediums, my friends and I like to do craft nights, and I can't pass a good deal, so I collect things for different future projects as I find them.
Nothing wrong with that!! It’s for anyone who loves to craft! And arts and crafts are usually pretty big too, I just have a lot of small fiddly paints and brushes haha
omg what a video to be this early to I still remember your original dream box video! I love a good organizing/purging video especially because I also have always had this product in the back of my mind as a dream product to own but I definitely do not have enough supplies for it 😂
I have no money or space for a Dream Box although it does look interesting. I use cube organizers, stackable plastic bins, 3-drawer carts, and portable art bins.
I have your mint paint brushes and love them. I also need to start filling out my book. I want to try to make a video of filling out some pages but haven’t been in a filming mood lately (and I work full time in a grocery store and am often exhausted after work.
I’ve had the original one for 12 years. Very easy to fill and use. I’m a paper crafter and mixed media crafter.
That's a Robotime Rolife Miniature Diy Kit!
Please do a video on that!!!
My friend got one of those and we've been building it together. It's really nice and detailed.
Thank you for showing this video, I was going to buy a Dreambox as my "wish present" after we sold our house & all my craft supplies,an entire art room, whatever I am going to keep, was going to have to be condensed to fit in what would now be a $6,000 total Dreambox( I was adding the sewing station) but after seeing your video,my husband and I saw where it is problematic, because the shelves are no longer flush, and the plastique shelf brackets are only going to keep breaking down and getting brittle, we are going to instead build out a system with Ikea stuff and Home Depot because I used to work there and have the skills. I don't have the money to spend and have it fall apart in a few years. Sadly the Dreambox is reading "flatpack" furniture that doesn't move well. 😢
I’m honestly curious to know if the Dreambox 4 (mine is the 3) is new and improved on this or if maybe it was just me that had these issues! It’s super simple and easy to use it’s just a bit of a pain and thinking maybe the left side was just a dud 🤣 if you have the skills though, that’s such an asset!! I’d be nonstop building if I knew how!! Haha
Hi beautiful lady, I hope everything in your pregnancy going well also turns Treasures into cool stuff would be awesome.
Watching you clean out your cupboard is satisfying to watch as I am an artist and a clean freak it was great .
I hope you have a great weekend with your husband.
Lots of love Lynda from South Australia 🇦🇺 Australia xxxxxxxxx ❤❤❤❤❤
Chloe just remember the further along you get the harder it will be to bend down so make sure the things your most likely to use will be higher up to access easily, because not only the bump will get in the way but your back will most likely give you heck as well.
You are so cute and I'm loving watching your pregnancy progress. I had horrible morning sickness with both of my pregnancies, so I feel like I couldn't enjoy it as much. I do miss feeling them moving around. That's just magical! I'm so glad you and baby are doing well. I am looking forward to a little bit of pregnancy and baby content, hopefully?
The refresh looks amazing! 🧡 Good luck with your fund raising. I love long handled paint brushes, but I find I use short handled ones for the smaller tips and only use the long ones if it's 1 inch or so.
I mainly paint with watercolour but my go to grab brush regarding the medium is a filbert. They in my view are underrated, you can get so much out of them due to their half flat/half round shape, the smaller filberts still can do a fine point. Filbert brushes are also great to travel with as you get that combo. They are the multi tool of the painters brushes!
Good luck on your charity auction! 💕
This is the earliest I’ve been for any video!
Omg same
I used self adhisive foil on the fromt of all my drawers, on my “The Barnd Box” that is kind of like yours, I love mine, it is so cool that you can just change around on the shelf so the fit the needs I have for storrage! And it is a really greatly made furniture, and really heavy
It took me 3 days to build mine, it came in 22 big boxes, and it took me a week to put my things in it
... Looking at it, having those little clear containers in the middle of the cupboard might very well help with the subsidence of the bigger clear containers. You might want to try keeping all of those little ones in the cupboard, even empty.
I also think that the plastic containers are meant for lighter loads than paint tubes. More like pencils etc. What was in them now might just be too heavy for the moaring points of the rails they rest on; they look a bit saggy.
Great vid, as always! And yes, sculpting always needs more room, lol!
Thank for showing this update of your dream box! I love you so much your videos make me so happy Chloe!!❤
i liked the hack you did for the front of the plastic bins when you added colored cardstock to them :) it looks really cool!
Something I wish I was told: a kid comes with SO MANY THINGS and then they outgrow them immediately. It’s so much for just a short phase and the phases move quickly!! honestly, I was the most disorganized first time mom. It wasnt until my kids were 3/2 that I started getting a handle on it. We did konmari in 2016-2017 and loved our minimalist/organized life. Then another baby arrived in 2018!
So!! As overwhelming as it can be- make dedicated room for offloading baby stuff you aren’t using. Do this early ! Make a dedicated area for hand me downs for donations or baby #2
For baby #3, we had a laundry basket in our room specifically for clothes that didn’t fit anymore. So there was always somewhere for it to go. That was so helpful.
For my friends closet I had labeled bins with the sizes so as baby outgrew them they just went into the bin for her next baby. And if it was too much for the bin some of it just had to go.
Just planning ahead before the clutter arrives for the amount of things you’ll have and then not need is my biggest advice.
Loved this video!
I'm going through a divorce and we're selling up to get our own places and as I won't have a spare room for my craft room it's my intention to treat myself to one of those dream boxes so thank you for sharing yours, I'm a card maker and crafter xx
I hope things will be easier for you very soon!! It sounds like you are going through a lot, lots of positive wishes your way!!
Hi Chloe! I would looove to see a video on that diy house kit. Those longer brushes are gorgeous🤩 I used to be a filbert person but lately i've been obsessed with flat brushes. The biggest thing I have always loved about your channel (besides you being hilarious) is your willingness to try/test new things. Thank you for doing an unsponsored update on the Dreambox. It's holding up pretty good aside from the shelf tracks. However, I do think it would be beneficial for you to contact Create Room about the shelf tracks & door alignment. I believe they would be able to help you. They might even send you replacements or upgrades🤷🏾♀. Also your cricut would be good to make the inserts & labels for the bins. You mentioned something about decorating the cabinet wall behind your cricut - what about using removable wallpaper or vinyl? That way you can easily change it when you get bored of the look. Side note: You asked about that black thing you held up. It's a phone stand; I kept one on my desk at work & another at home. The short side has tiny ends that fit into the slot. 💜💙🖤
I can't afford the dream box but I've found a way to organize my art supplies. I bought 2 9 cube shelves and the collapsible drawers and I stacked the shelves and I label each drawer with acrylic paint markers with the things I use the most in the middle area. I also have a couple of the Rubbermaid drawers that I store my diamond painting supplies and unopened diamond paintings and supplies. I also keep random crafting supplies in the drawers. I wish I had a more uniform look to my storage but for now it works. I think if I were going to change it I would buy 2 more 9 cube shelves to replace my other storage and use the collapsible drawers to organize. The only issue I have is not having a good way to store new canvas.
wonderful work. Loved this video. well worth the work.
I cant wait for the paintbrushes to come back. I missed out on them the first time. I prefer the shorter handled brushes. The long ones are just awkward for me for some reason 😂
It looks so good! With the plastic bits that keep popping out, I wonder if the holes have gotten a bit worn? Combined with a bit of warping maybe. I have a cupboard that has adjustable shelves. I end up wrapping my dowel/peg bits in blutack before putting them into the holes as it makes them fit tighter and it seems to work 🤞
thanks for the video, I loved it! About those white things that keep falling out - try to turn them upside down and check if its possible to put it that way - its possible it will hold the weight better.
I love when we see your dogs in your videos, they're adorable 😍
I think that black thing you asked about is a book end thingie? Like, for you to organize books on your shelf or separate canvasses from books like on the right side there. At least that's what it looks like to me as I have something similar and that's what it was sold as and I use it for lol it looks so nice!!
21:35 It's a phone holder. That black piece that flips out had little tiny legs sticking out, you place it on one of the grooves (with the hollowed out center) for a higher or lower angle and you place your phone on it! (the grooves side is the feet)
For the bits that don't stay shut, have you thought of getting a baby catch on it? I used one for my old fridge. It worked like a charm. Love the dream box, I need one, but as I'm on benefits, I've got no chance. Oh well I can dream.
I used to dream of having enough supplies and space to have one of these. Now i just want the time to do any art at all lol
It looks great!! So much work to stay organized!
I thought it would take me an afternoon. Took me a week 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ooooh, earliest I've ever been to a video, and it's an organizing video, hell yeah! Love watching people organize, makes me feel productive XD
Oh. 28:00 with thoughts on turning things into other things... Mmmm. Could have titles like: "Art Transformation: Turning X item into Z." With X and Z being whatever you're transforming ✨Maybe? Idk. XD
Edit: My Alliteration brain kicked in, you could do: "Tales of Transformations: Turning X into Z" ✨Alliteration makes everything better XD
Loved your book! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad you liked it!
Instead of vinyl for your table top, I suggest oilcloth, which seems tougher and easier to get clean. Another suggestion for marker/color pencil storage as well as some really innovative watercolor palettes is a company called Robax.
You are so funny, adorable and kind ❤
I use an old dresser to somewhat organize my supplies. I also have three rolling carts filled too. I need to go through it all of course. It works for now because my husband and I have separate closets and mine is huge and fits the dresser inside of it Otherwise a DreamBox would be amazing.
I was thinking of buying one of these when I get to my permanent home soon. I have a lot of crafting supplies - crafters have more stuff than artists.
Hi, since I am early, I just wanted to say I hope you are doing well! Wish all the best for you and your family, I hope everything with the little baby is okay ❤
7:08 I would love to see a long bristle, thinner brush. Like, 1.5” - 2” long but 1/4” diameter max. I’ve heard those are really good for smooth/ straight lines
I am a person who loves to be organized, but isn't. I'm also very visual. I need to see what I have. I've always wanted one of these, but the price is out of reach. Thank you for showing us what you do with yours and sharing the pros and cons. Very helpful.
The item you grabbed at the 21:30 mark is a collapsible phone stand. The first part you flip out is the base, the second part you flip out and sit into the groves on the base. Then put your phone or tablet on the angled part created by the second piece. I have a similar one that I got from my old job.
If your know your not going to move them you could glue them in place, or any don't you contact the makers and see if they could send you replacements. I have similar in an ikea unit and I had to replace some after a few years due to weight/expansion of the unit.
Use your cricut for labels also i don't know if one will fit but you could try a utensil draw liner to hold pencils or paint brushes tidy.
oooh that's a lot of art supplies!! honestly if I had one of these I wouldn't even be able to fill one column, maybe I need more art supplies ahaha 😂
I NEVER use a long-handled brush. I had a couple "just in case" and eventually got rid of them because I never reached for them, and storing them was so annoying!! Didn't fit with all my other brushes. For the doors latching, you can purchase just a pack of magnetic closures with adhesive already on the backs, and just slap them on there!! I added extra to some of my cabinets when I felt that the existing magnets weren't strong enough.
Yes, to seeing the diy build kit as I want to buy one, but I'm a bit skeptical on quality.
Use your Circuit and some sticky backed vinyl to make your own labels. You can cut the size of the letters to whatever size you want.
It looks like the company has new tracks for the plastic boxes. They look more sturdy than the old tracks. Might be worth it to pick some up to try them out.
I would fix the bowing by placing 2 wooden shelves evenly distributed down the column at least a 3/4 inch thick in where the smaller container slides in and make them the width of the insert to put pressure where it’s bowing. Hope that makes sense.
I love your videos, so entertaining and so honest. My feeling on the paint Brush handle length is, why choose one or the other? Why not offer both long and short handles. People who paint at an eagle usually like longer handles and people who paint at a desk usually prefer short handles. To offer both, from a marketing demographic it makes more sense to offer both. Just my 2 cents. Either way I'm buying both sets, your old brushes and the new brushes.
Love this Dreambox it is an artists dream for organization ❤
"I feel like these should be Canadian because they are like in bags" Lmao love the nod to our bagged milk 😂
How many of the narrow shelves/bins are there? I feel that if you had a few bits in there it would help with the bowing. You've done an awesome job ❤ might be an idea to move the magnets to stop it from opening?
That spot where the shelves are falling down if you can cut a little block of wood to stick in that empty space between that and the other side that might sturdy it up a bit so they don’t fall down
Edit: oop. You already know!
Standard handles are my favorite!
Love you!!❤💞😁
Abstract bagged paint is great.
Waited so long for this ❤
Perhaps the holes have become larger so the brackets don't fit tightly anymore. You might try using small expanders that are used for holes in walls that have enlarged from wear. I have old plaster walls and need to use the expanders that open up once inside the wall or otherwise whatever I'm hanging will not stay put. You can get the expanders from any home hardware store. Just a suggestion. Looks good.
They are also called anchors and come in multiple sizes.
it looks like you could maybe get a metal strip, wide enough that it covers the magnet and long enough that it will hit both pieces when the door is shut, it theory the metal piece should magnetize enough the latch it.
Ok, maybe it is because you have not put the little shelves in that the bigger shelves keep falling. Everything needs to be straight and there is no pressure from one side and pressure on the other, if you get what I mean. I've not watched the whole video yet so could be wrong.
Wonder if you could hot-glue additional magnets on it to help it close?? or maybe add an exterior latch?
At 10:42... that's why I prefer short handle brushes. Lol The long are hard to store sometimes.
Could the bowing be from the weight on top?
It seems to be a wonderful product! 😊 I would be interested in knowing that if you contact them with the issues you are having, will they help you with them? Do they have solutions for them? How good is their service after the sale? Yes, I would be interested in seeing their latest version!! 👍 Great job getting it organized again!! 👏👏
LOL because Canadians get milk in bags, it means it makes sense our paint comes in bags too? That black thing looks like a tablet stand.
U have a cricut, u can make really cute labels with that
I hate pressboard furniture. It always bows and bends. Junk. What ever happened to making things out of wood? That this is too expensive to have to use tape to keep the door shut!!!
I would love to see the dream box 3
I've had mine almost 3 yrs and I still love it. It was a huge investment though.
I still love mine too even with those couple issues! I’d be lost without ot
6:18 YES PLEASE
8:55 ... or unless your an art supply hoarder and you literally have almost all of Michaels in your home, yet never find time to do any art!! LOL
For a big sticker you have a circut so I would use that. Otherwise I love my niimbot label maker.
😍🖋My brother loves fountain pens and he got a few of them I would love to get one for him that's not too expensive. 😍🖋
Im patiently waiting for you to start selling your brushes again. I would love to try them.
I’m a round brush girlie. I can usually get very far on just a good medium sized brush. The round brushes with the long handle looks a little bit big though.
Also I vote regular length on the brushes.
Btw. The white things for the drawers the you struggled with….have you tried to flip them?
You can buy cupboard magnets and put it up the top corner for it to stay!❤
