My first R rated movie theater experience. The cool Aunt bought tickets for my cousins and I when we were in 6th grade. Always loved the dark atmosphere of this one, holds tons of nostalgia.
Side note: Michael is supposed to be the father of Jamie’s baby! It’s twisted af! The Thorn Cult control him with runes and the Doctor is the main guy who set him lose in the original Halloween 79’, all the crazies outside in the rain. I love this movie, I think it’s different & scary af! Michael is a savage
This one is special to me. I watched it at a Halloween party in High School; hosted by my crush whom I could barely speak around. Her dad was insanely wealthy, and they had their own in-house theater. There was also jello wrestling. Theater kids are weird. God bless ‘em.
I feel like this movie has one of the scariest versions of Michael in the entire franchise, and for some reason people always crap on it. I’m loving this reaction so far! Michael is absolutely brutal, even if the story is a little bit convoluted can’t wait for you to watch H2O!
I wanted to say I loved the atmosphere of this movie and that, after hearing how you felt about Michael in the last Friday the 13th reaction, you’re gonna love how hard Michael goes in this one, but then I remembered that there are multiple versions of this movie. I’m not even sure which one I grew up with. using that guy to open those bars and rampaging through those “cultists??” were great from what I remember. the ⚡🤯 scene is definitely one of the more over the top kills in this series. can’t wait for H20.
Had to find it, but we're doing the theatrical cut. This is more "bad science" than full on "cult. But it has some better gore and a little less frustrating ending. LoL

So glad to see you finally react to this one. This is my favorite Halloween film. I love it because we get back story to why he kills and why he's so powerful. Also the way he moves in this one with so much anger. The most amazing kill is on the girl in the bedroom with the slow motion as he stabs her in the back multiple times. We never seen Michael this ferocious before. Also the scene in the lab, when he kills the people that think control him.

14:03 - I like to think that either Dr Wynn (who was in the first Halloween telling Loomis that Michael can't drive a car) or one of the other cultists branded Michael with that mark while he was in a coma just before Halloween 4 started
I still vividly remember being with my father and sitting at an intersection, and he had the A.M. news station on the radio, and I remember looking over to my right and up at the billboard and seeing this plastered up there. "Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers" and being enthralled! This 13 year old horror fanatic couldn't wait. It was bittersweet being that Donald Pleasance had passed away and seeing the "In Memory of" at the end credits roll, just sent the realization home 😔 This one is underrated, for sure. Good one J!! 👍
You should also watch The Producer's Cut of this movie. It's an almost completely different movie. Some people live longer, have alternate deaths, different music that sounds more like a classic Halloween ?Oviedo, and the last 15 minutes are completely different.
New to the channel, but looking forward to more Slasher Saturdays cause this one had me rollin. 😂 I enjoy this Halloween a lot, and find this theatrical cut to be a much more entertaining film than the producer's cut. Mike wasnt playing around in this one.

This was the first one I saw in the theater. While I know the plot was sort of ridiculous, I just thought it was cool that I was finally seeing Myers on the big screen. One of the weirdest aspects is Wynn. In the first movie, Wynn is the guy Loomis is arguing with outside the hospital. He was in disbelief that Michael was headed to Haddonfield, saying that Michael couldn't even drive a car, to which Loomis replied, "Maybe someone around here gave him lessons!" I guess later on, it was implied that it was Wynn but it was never fully explained. The series never even mentioned Wynn again (as far as I can remember) until H6. He went from sort of a background, throwaway character to one of the main elements of the story without any real explanation. When H5 was made, I don't think Wynn was supposed to be the man in black. Also, I never fully understood, if the cult was controlling Michael, why did he suddenly murder all of them completely out of the blue? So much of it never made sense. The producer's cut explained some of what the theatrical cut didn't, but it was an even more ridiculous movie in and of itself. The song at the end was cool, though.

Wow....this is a different version of this film!!! This movie has a theatrical cut and a producer's cut. The other cut (producer's cut) is all Cult of Thorn... with a full cult scene and......just a WHOLE other end plot. My husband and I were sitting here like... wtf?!?!?!?! Lol Then we checked out box set. We always watch the producer's cut. I would check that out. The ending is VERY different....cutists, robes so much more.....so much better.

Then he was held prisoner by these old farts who discovered how to neuter and enslave him for years. That's The F* Around portion of this storyline. And as we all know, the feeling of being powerless can make you lose your mind. Just multiply that by Myers's mentality and you have a walking extinction level supervolcano on your hands. Meanwhile, Myers was saving up his own innate power so he could rip free from the Thorn cult's curse/control over him. Remember, if nothing else, Myers is extremely patient. And the absolute second he broke free, he paid them a visit in that operating room to advance those people to The Find Out portion of the FAFO Program. Also, did you notice Myers's body change? While under the control of the curse, he was much heavier. After breaking free, he was a Lot more slender
