DO NOT pry up on the side of the switch controls in the arm rest as he is demonstrating in this video!!! If you do it like he is demonstrating, you will FOR SURE break off the rear tab that he is warning you that you will break off if you don't pry it up correctly. I know cause I pryed just like he did and mine broke. If you notice, his is also broken off which is why he can pry from the side. ONLY pry from the very front corner and then the very front edge. As you are doing this, the back edge should not be lifting AT ALL!! Once the front edge is all the way released and lifted, THEN you move the whole thing forward as the back tab then releases. Hope this helps. (I glued mine back on with plastic epoxy weld.) The rest of the video was still helpful but that one part was very misleading even though he was explaining it correctly.
you are absolutely correct David. I made the same mistake after watching this video. I should have read your comment beforehand. After I broke the rear tab on one door panel. and after looking at all the tabs on the switch control panel, I realized the mistake and did it correctly on the other door.

Ended up solving it. I had taken the trim off for a while and perhaps it had warped a little bit. Had to roll down the window to and put it on from the top. Thanks for the video!
Please, whatever you do, DON'T show what you're talking about. Wait, you don't. Ok. Thank God for that!......Each panel will come off easy if you know exactly which direction and angle to do it. Seeing the clips and the hooks helps tremendously, or you will break the parts and have to glue it back on. Especially since age makes it more brittle. Since you don't show any of those, that's great. Almost like knowing nothing at all, which makes everything fun. Thanks for keeping it fun!

Pretty sure there aren't any special angles for removing this door panel as all the clips literally pull straight out.

I don't know exactly but my recommendation is to buy a kit off Amazon that has all the sizes. They are less than $20 and will cover all your needs for quite some time.
Clint, having issue with reinstalling the door panel. I thought it'd be pretty self explanatory, but the clips don't line back up. Any tips on lining up the panel for reinstall?
Hi I have Lexus ex300 1999 and my speakers are not working sometimes and I have turn the volume up so make it work or some kind of vibration. Do you. Know how to fix that problem?
That could be several things but most likely your receiver is bad or one of your speaker wires is shorting out somewhere. That can shut down the output to all the speakers.

In what area are you having trouble getting it flush? It could be that you are missing one of the clips or one of them has broken.

Not usually and certainly not on this model. You are going to have to get that door opened.
