I hate the regular shin pads because they distract me from playing and running. I have to use some tapes to rap around it and still loose. When I try the G-Form shin pads, I feel like I didn't wear them at all. I don't even use tapes to rap them (I have ones with no sleeves attached but they provide the sleeves separately inside the package you buy). For the protection, I honestly think that if the regular shin pads protect 100% of the impact, these G-Form shin pads protect 95%. Overall, I think it's worth for you to have a pair (1st gen not this crazy expensive Elite X).
Jay, this is all well and good but please please please do a video on ankle slips. Everyone wants to do grip socks and sleeves but this leaves little to no protection for the ankles. I know you recommended the Nike Hyperstrong Strike before in a super old video but its never available anymore. Can you let us know of any newer slim alternatives that are comfortable?
Exactly. I started playing recently and in six months I haven't had any kicks in my shins but I do have some bruises on my ankles. Do manufacturers think new-generation footballers don't get kicked in their ankles? Almost all of the big brands make shin pads only. When I was a youth shin pads with ankle protection were standard.
Did you ever experience tears in the lower back part of the stitchings? I've had to re-stitch mine twice, and I'm super slim with pretty thin ankles as well (got small size though). Just wondering if other people were having that as well as I've had mine for almost a year now as well. Considering getting another pair either way and hoping it's just me having been sloppy and careless slipping them on. Cheers!
I have some of their earlier models and theyre definitely the best shinguard I've had as a keeper. I used to wear some pretty old adidas ones where the shinguard was stitched to the sleeve but I usually had to add tape to keep them in place, but these stay in place really well on their own and even more if combined with tight socks.
I use this brand of shinpads. If you're not splashing for expensive carbon fiber pads, G-Form is one of the next best options. - The harden-on-impact tech gimmick actually works. I haven't experienced a painful shin knock in over a year of play. - You don't need to pay more for the version that is sown into a spandex sleeve -- the cheapest version of the pads protects just as well as the most expensive version. - These pads aren't very long, so if you want as much coverage as possible, get at least a size Large (XL has the same length as L). - This new, super expensive version of the pads is a waste of money -- you're paying over a 100 euros for that luxury sleeve, and practically nothing else. The cheapest G-Form shinpad with no sown-on sleeve uses hardening foam that performs just as well. - G-Form is available from US retailers for cheaper than Unisport.
The G forms honestly don’t work that well. It may harden on impact but the rest of the guard doesn’t so the point of impact still gets hit much harder. It’s almost worse that it hardens in a way because the point of impact is what gets driven into your shin while the rest of it remains soft if that makes sense. A normal shin guard is made of hard plastic that spreads across the entire surface area of the guard when it gets hit. They are extremely comfortable and I wanted them to work well but they just don’t. I’ve even had times where my shin has gotten hit by a striked ball and it still hurt even with these on.
They honestly do work. I haven't had a shin bruise in four seasons of play. My criticism is that the pads don't have enough coverage -- they're too short, and too narrow. The foam itself absolutely works.
Can you make a video on turf (tf) boots? There is literally no video from good channels on youtube on these boots. I want to use them on tf fields and sometimes in the summer, when the sun dried out all the grass. The normal fg are way too hard for dried fg pitches
Had first gen G-Foam shin pads & foam itself lasted over 2 yrs… but sleeves were torn apart from getting cleated so many time. Got another one (2nd gen) & the sleeves are holding on stronger than 1st gen. Keep in mind that you need to test out which size fit you. Sleeves do stretch over time (both gems), so if you didn’t get fraction tighter fit ones, it fall down over time & it can be annoying.
This is not a joke. I bought a $20 pair of Nike shin guards in the smallest size, removed the foam from the inside of the plastic and cut the foam in half. I use the foam as my shin guards

I've used a similar technology in mountain biking. It's awesome. I'm going to look into a pair for my daughter and me.
I’ve just bought my son these ,for the start of the new season .£60 down to £30 - greaves sport shop ,Glasgow. Your welcome x
I have an old version that’s still good. But I mostly wear my C6 Agility carbon fiber shin guards.
You've solved all of Grealish's problems

Thanks Darren! Appreciate your feedback, glad we could help! 🤝 /Jay

Are they similar to adidas predator edge pro shin guards

I have these shin pads but the problem is that their expensive and I don't know how to take them off
Great video!

My daughter had vento went back to Nike shin guards i think phantom ?
Do you like the Copa pure more than the new tiempos
Got these for 9 year old, only issue is getting them off! How?!
I tried the og version and they were horrible 10/10 do not recommend
Can you do a review on the 4kickerz shinpads
Where can l buy them from?
Do they fit thick calves?
I actually had a pair of hard shell and they broke mid game from how hard the dude kicked me so I decided to get these and haven't gone back
It is approved by fifa ?
I’ll just keep with the originals. I just wanted a shin pad that doesn’t move with minimal effort 😂.
do they last very long?

Bro I watch your skill vids over and over and practice but I feel like I’ve gotten nowhere lol also what’s the best boots to buy?
What kind of training do you do?
@@chi3fskngdomyt187 basic and I don’t really have any trainer but this dude
This dude sells 150 chinpads it's a reliable source for training programs just Google the most basic stuff they always the best
@@ZSOCCERR555 I mean how often are you training? I know this is obvious but you should be getting results unless you're not training correctly.
@@chi3fskngdomyt187 well then I’m not training good but I do it every day
That design folds inward so you can still break a tibia !!

@@smguleee i used a blade to pry into it and then pulled it off with my fingers when i got enough
Do you know what are dimensions by size?

The Nike j guard is best shinpad
I was about to say first but then I remembered I actually have brain cells
Expensive but seems well I might get and btw love you skill move videos
Imma stick with c6 agility’s
its like D30 for motorcycle pads
Guys he forgot to mention that the shinpads cure cancer
Okay but what about my whole leg?
First love the content ❤❤
Bro this is so expensive 💀
Why professionals do not use this type of shin pads?
Saying expensive is an euphemism. xD
I would buy ankle pads before thinking about shin pads without ankle protection. Mofos kick more on ankles than shins.
You lost me at the price. Yikes.
the background sound is teerrible
Meanwhile me with 150rs😂
