That’s my problem too. My manager would ask me if I needed any help but when it comes down to it, there is no one who wants to work outside so I’m stuck by myself. Wears me down and questions why I do this job.
Great work! Ive had a similar issue with my gauges in the past when leftover oil was caught inside of them. Also, the O rings in my hoses. Shoot, i also had a problem with the king valve before. I couldnt get my pressure past 800s and found out the king valve was jacked up. Thanks for the video!
I agree, this is a dangerous and a total waste of time, let the management company spend the money to do it correctly, this guy is taking all the risk with no reward.
Below 1000 good 1000-2000 non condensibles/moisture Over 2000 leak Also, when I install try to break the vac with 5-20psi for 5 min at least once and send the flush into a bucket near the coil. Keeps rx11 from going into the metering device. I'm an resi hvac installer. I'd give you a hand if I could. That's hard work
Your work ethic is an inspiration, Ray -- you literally took up your cross in this one (Matthew 16:24)! You certainly embody the words of Proverbs 22:29 which says: "Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Your skill and excellence in your work, getting things done, is noticed by not just your viewers but your Father in heaven. On these rough days remember Colossians 3:23 which says: "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men." God bless, brother!
@@Raysmaintenance hmm didn't even think about that, I do commercial ,doubt OSHA would ever drive by but if don't have it on you boss is going to get a hefty fine .
Good times man, I was actually looking into telescoping ladders the dummy that did trim in my apartment originally thought it was cool to leave a 3-4 inch gap between the ceiling and the trim in a corner above some stairs. All my ac goes up and out. 13ft up isn't cool for people that don't like heights lol
I hope your pay reflects your ability to work on these AC's, because you are saving them lots of money if they had to call an A/C company to do all of these repairs.
It's just ridiculous that your employer has you do these heavy and dangerous by yourself. I hope they know what kind of conscientious and skill employee they have. Your services would be welcome at so many places. Feel me? 😆
@@Raysmaintenance sounds about right. Ha I was a union carpenter "foreman" doing ceilings. Always alone and no one was available to help .. remember doing some jail cells with like 90 pound 8 ft long panels that had to go in a c channel... Call the office you got this .. apartment stuff seems more laid back though for what you do. You know how . How much that would cost them if they brought some else in....
Lord have mercy you are doing so much more then a Maintenance man is expected to do I hope the compensation is good for Ray you are awesome what you do for your company
I installed an ac today that had to be moved 8ft to the left. Little bit of landscaping and Bending action. That sun today gosh lol thank God for the customers that offer ice water
Seems like management should be hiring a crane truck for these jobs. Your safety should be number 1 with them. I'm sure workers comp would agree. If nothing else maybe you could get that cross anchor made from aluminum which would be a whole lot lighter. Stay safe and cool. Love your channel.
@Raysmaintenance If it gets the job done and it's safe send it. Some of these new units we put in are only 2.5 ton but they are massive. Takes 4 guys to safety lift onto a rack sometimes
Cant leave them on roof -- too hot and cold will destroy them over time. The wood cross only last 1y and i have to replace it cause the wood becomes dry can cracks and may brake when i try to move an AC
i hated to take it from 1 unit to the other sounds to me you are robbing peter to pay paul SOME TIME YOU GOT TO DO IT but i still hated to do it double the work

Lol I work outside daily as a resi hvac installer. I wonder if I'd be a maintenance guy the crew would like to have around

Yuck king valves
Try to stay cool, try to stay positive, it’s hard Good job, thanks for sharing! Have a blessed day !
Thank you! You too!

Yea buddy, long labor intense work! Glad to see you taking sun protection seriously👍
You have a good day stay cool don't get overheated 🥤🥤🥤🥤🥤
Management is always ridiculous making people do dangerous crap and not wanting to rent equipment. Good job getting it done regardless.

Breaking the vac with 20psi of nitro for 5 min helps take out the moisture and condensibles. Really long linesets should get a tripple evac. 3 times
You made my day seem a lot easier good job bro praise the LORD be safe
Gives new meaning to Matthew 16:24 ✝✝✝

Oh my - you were overworked. Taken advantage of in this instance.
Not easy trust in the lord and do everything for the lord that's how I am trying my best to survive in this Maintence job.
This property is crazy, most major PM companies will simply have you fixing things and renovations are contracted out.
Looked at your channel why don't you make videos anymore? You have 12k subs
That's a mighty big cross to bear. Lift or crane rental should be a safety thing. If it happens enough rental wise buy one.
doesn't work like that. I am going to get a safety harness this week

I hate seeing those pinched off joints. Just save some small scrap pieces of 3/4 and 3/8 that way the 5/8 will fit inside

I can’t believe you are drilling lag bolts through that roof!!??
I didn't have any Gorilla tape with me
That’s not how Flush works
lol in my world it dose lol
your video --Harbor Freight Electric Hoist - Compressor lift-- thats not a bad idea -- my only problem with that is I would need a 30' ladder.
How do you seal the holes made for the lag bolts after removing them?

roofing tar
I’m a maintenance my self been 3 years I enjoy yo videos bro💯
You gotta be the maintenance supervisor cause you got all the tools for the job man I have never seen no shit like this
lol
I supervise myself

They need to hire a crane company they only cost a couple of hundred dollars
$500

That sucks . Another property guy can't come give a hand ?
There never around when I need help 😆 but let them have a problem and the phone doesn't stop

I have been working on a new cross , just haven't finished it. The wood is old and very light too move.

You should make a cross for every roof and just leave them installed for changing the units out. Maybe make them out of 3 in bar stock.

What about a steel structure?
@@SonicOrbStudios i will explain on the next video
they make these that go on a ladder i use one

The ac was a backup. It was new just on the other building
