the soil looks hungry, I am not sure what would be good for it. Can you get aged animal manure. Try a little lime over one corner and see what happens. Try not to over cultivate, as this will harm the soil particles. There is nothing like home grown fruit and vegetables. We had a big raised veg garden, and 100 fruit tree, here in N.Z. Before we sold it. In preparation to building a smaller home, pre coming to live in Dumagete. God bless Kiwi

I have a backyard garden and after 25years it looks nothing like Jane's garden, she doing such a great job.

We agree 100% my friend. To some moving to the Philippines though they might find the fiber internet better than expected as we do. Great coverages and lightning fast speeds even in rural areas but each region will be different from each other 😊

@@adianbeat6701 it is definitely needed in some parts of the country my friend. It’s an option. Fibre internet is widely available and fast while being so much cheaper.

@@teddedios991 that’s true but coverage and speed is rapidly being moved out across the whole country. It might take a few years but just a few years ago there was virtually no fast internet here 😊

You can cut the papaya tree near the base and it will grow again just cover the stump with plastic or metal cap to prevent rainwater coming in because it will destroy the trunk if you don’t do that

When we talk to family in America we usually use messenger video call. Works well for us.
We tend to use Skype but recently video doesn’t show. I’ve heard it’s a Philippines related issue? 😊
I've never used Skype. We haven't tried messenger yet this time from here, but it did work well 8 months ago.
Many foreigners who move to the Philippines make a big mistake because they want to transfer their western style of living to the Philippines. It's starting about complaining about slow Wifi speed instead of accepting what is available, western perfectionism is a stress maker too, complaining about traffic, noice, smell and many more. When the holiday mood after 5 to 8 years is gone they are in the same treatmill as before and many foreigners leaving. After living 30 plus years in the region I have seen many Kannos coming and going. Less than 10% are staying longer than 20 years....
I agree completely my friend! We prepared to live here with whatever internet was available and never expected to transfer our lives as such. This is why we love gardening, shopping at the markets etc. it’s a more sustainable kind of life and rewarding too. We plan to stay for the rest of our lives and absolutely will do so. We didn’t feel it but I thought I felt something quickly last night. We had terrible thunderstorms here. 1 man killed by lightning and 65 homes on fire from separate lightning strikes. Who do you have your internet with ?
We are with PLDT my friend. 3 year contract and 2 years in. Such is the improvements and competition our package now would be 1699 instead of 2399 per month. The speeds are increasing and prices coming down 😊

Im sure starlink will get cheaper in the coming years coz Elon still launching them.
It should come down my friend. 29,000 up front cost and around 2,900 a month for the basic package I believe. There is a 30 day free trial which many vloggers are using for review videos. There is a lot of slowdown compared to PLDT due to demand. It might improve. For us it’s clearly not needed and PLDT is much cheaper with no up front costs 😊

I think you are right my friend. Last year we had lots and our second tree has some growing. Our third tree didn’t really flower though as it did before. We do have a fourth now growing and we hope it’s female 😊
