what an incredible musician. humble, kind, and so happy he turned things around and is still making people's day.
The story about your dad is similar to mine. Thanks Josh.
Your skilled work has been appreciated!!!
Josh is one of the best ever for my opinion
Yup!... It's a guitar. Thanks For the great sounds Josh. I'm going to get back to banging my head against the wall learning my stringed instrument. "Mandolin" My guitar feels the sound coming from my speakers and just sticks its tongue out at me. Ha Ha!!
Josh, you are a kind gentleman & a player's player.
Your plsying and vocals are the envy of many.
Met you in Alberta. You were with Rhonda Vincent.
Great job Josh
Sierra Hull's Bourgeois performance drew me to hear Mr. Williams. He has a new fan.
I've GOT to learn this version
Excellent story teller. Very wise man to spend as muxh time as possible wirh Tony Rice.
I had never heard of Josh Williams until watching this…man o’ man…what a great voice! Had never heard the song Fare Thee Well, and Mr Williams had me smiling the whole time. Wonderful, thank you!
He was Tony Rice’s mandolin player for several years.
Josh, speaking of Rhonda, your mandolin cross-picking is absolutely stunning on "I've Forgotten You". Would you consider providing me with TAB for your break on that song? I have searched, but am unable to locate it. HELP Please!
I wish Josh would do alot more of this. Awesome
Amazing Josh. Especially enjoyed Prodigal Son. Hope we see you around a lot more!
Josh is probably the top guitar player right now. Pulls tone like no one else can. Seems to be a funny, humble type of guy. He did great on the video as I suspected. Heart wrenching story about his Dad. Good son.
Helen McCuan Enjoyed your music so much. Love yor music.
This was GREAT! I love Josh Williams. Great guitar and singing!
There’s not a more credible person to represent that guitar and company. Josh is a fantastic musician and person!
Your dad Tony was a hoot. I remember y’all coming every year to Hilldale Baptist for Old Fashioned Day. We then would go over to My bro in laws house for lunch and picking in the afternoon. Great times. My how time flies. Your dad brought you every year when I called. Every time I go through Benton I think of you and him.
Can’t believe I just run across this performance. 12/24/2021. Christmas evening. I feel blessed to watching this.
Thanks to Josh and to Bourgeois for shining some much needed musical light in our temporary dark times. We'll come out of this stronger!
Great guitar player and singer, absolutely one of the best in this genre
Josh , you absolutely nailed Tennessee Blues, fantastic !!!!!!
Great video Josh. It was a wonderful tribute to the guitar and my hero Tony Rice! Thank You Bourgeois,, Great guitar!
Josh, if you play for Rhonda Vincent, knew you was top notch! Now that you’ve got that Bourgeois guitar you really are!
Absolutely a master of his craft!
Sounds killer josh. I remember picking with you once at a guys house L Michael Newsome. You signed my dobro. Hope you’re doing well buddy keep being great man.
Man, I love your voice. What a rich baritone!
That guitar sounds great! And of course...... I always love me some Josh Williams. 😁
Such amazing playing and singing from Josh! I'm going to have to go down the rabbit hole and listen to all of his stuff now :)
Its incredible, and he has quite the story of addiction and recovery!
So amazing. Playing beside the master for all those years. I know every Tony Rice song every recorded. Josh is such a humble individual while having the talents of few in the “bluegrass” world. His timing is impeccable on Church Street Blues, and sound so nice on the Bourgeois. I would love to hear stories of him playing with Wyatt too. Always loved Rhonda and will watch for those wonderful performances with Josh also. Phony Rice is a joy to watch. He’s the the real deal.
Josh you are an amazing guitar player & performer. Absolutely loved this video, so well done!
I met you at Stewiake River Park, in Nova Scotia, Canada. You were playing with Rhonda V.
Jerry Rice was my idol, you may be now!! Love to hear you play !! Thats all I got 10-4
I love this guitar's tone. Thank you Josh for pickin for us all to hear this guitar. The Clarence White/Tony Rice Guitar style is my favorite kind of acoustic. That tone is pure ear candy. Josh makes it sound good too.
Great singer and great guitarist. I wonder if Josh ever did that Church Street Blues album project?
Stumbled across this...Josh Williams is an amazing guitar player. this was a lucky find.
Love josh!! He’s a great singer!! One of my favorite musicians
Wow! You are AWESOME! You have a great voice with your great playing!
Loved it. Great playing and a great way to spend time listening to you play.
Hopefully we'll get some videos as that beautiful guitar breaks in and ages. Great choice in players to demo !!
Man your a great guitarist and singer Josh!!!! i wish i had an ounce of your talent thank you for the video
Fantastic...thnx...wish I could've seen your left hand more of the time
I wish he could teach us how to play church street blues
SWEET guitar!
Not backwards... and very nice. Thanks!
Awesome man that guitar is awesome
So good Josh👍👍
Fantastic! Thank you
Great job---Nice tone on that Bourgeois.. What strings/gauge/type were on this Bourgeois?
Hi from Argentina.
3:45 is a catchy tune
Josh, really enjoyed, just couldn’t see well with that camera. Viewing was very narrow! Thanks though, appreciate it.
Mitch , poss and Monty would be proud.
Well, there goes his Martin endorsement😜
I wish I could afford one of those. I got a DRS 2 Martin sounds great and I just bought a E 40 D sounds great also I'm a little disappointed in the dark grain it was not book match . In my opinion it's not AAA grade Adirondack spruce.
What’s the name of the third song he played?
Tennessee Blues
I bet he needed a massage on his right arm. All them notes picked.
Why this great performance is recorded vertically? Watching it on a horizontal screen is simply annoying...
What's name of song at 36.00. thankyou
Prodigal Son starts just after 35:00
He still talks too long, God bless him
You are one mushy pretty boy. You're a blemish on Doc Watson's calm manhood.
Marlin, you certainly are entitled to your opinion, but you know what they say about opinions. The only blemish I see is your misdirected bitterness that I hope you recover from someday.
What are you talking about? There are plenty of Doc videos on YT to watch if you don’t like Josh.
Marlin Knight what were you talking about? Josh Williams can play circles around Doc Watson because guess what flatpicking has progressed greatly Tony Rice moved the bar so incredibly far beyond Doc Watson and people like myself and Josh have had the awesome advantage of learning from Tony. If Doc was alive he would tell you the same thing. The other idiotic crap about mushy pretty boy sounds like a nut talking out of jealousy or your meds aren't working.
@@ronnieedwards5550 Hi Pretty Boy. Can you acknowledge the idea of style changes? Sorry to hurt your feelings.
