That rate 36000 mx, is ridiculously high! Just because you can afford it, doesn't mean you should. Can you say....Falling US exchange rate?? 😮

Everyone seems to feel because the price is high to them, that others are somehow overpaying. I never understood the logic. People like what they like and want what they want. Some folks drive Nissan Sentras and others driver Mercedes S classes or Rolls Royce... It's their money to spend how they choose. If someone was already spending $7,500 USD per month and find a place in Mexico for $2,500 USD, it's still a great bargain for them and they still get the same level of comfort/luxury they previously had. I never understood the concept where others who may be used to living in a house for $650 USD per month, are shocked that others are paying 3 or 4 times more. That $650/mo guy might only be earning $3,000 per month, while the other guy may be earning $150,000 USD... Absolutely no comparison. 2 totally different lifestyles, wants and desires. A guy living in a $2 million dollar home may jump off the roof if he had to downgrade to $650/mo house. Just saying ... Not everyone moving here is looking to downgrade from their typical quality of life.

Thx for posting, this isn't a criticism of you but "Luxury"?. My problem isn't the price. House is large, amenities are a plus, bedroom/ bathroom closet shown are excellent, furnishings adequate. BUT, narrow almost zero property lines, houses look stacked next to each other. A four bedroom house without space in backyard for entertaining? Who would want to take their family, food fixing, guests, glasses, cutlery, etc. away from the house to grill in a public area? If you forget something just trek back to the house? Hope this place has a gym, I'd give it points for that. Paddleball court was the best looking area for me.

No worries. There was a gym. Many of the houses are stacked close to each other. Very common thing in Merida. Yes, this house had a small yard, but perhaps the owner who built it didn't want a large yard (and many folks don't, which there's nothing wrong with that). The place was immaculate w/ lots of personality (kinda hard to see in the video, but it was beautiful and seen much smaller places go for more). But all in all, it's an individual preference. I'd pay that amount for it (only $500 USD less than what I'm paying now ... I'd take that over what I got any day), and I like what I got.

@@MoveAbroadandThrive Your family would have plenty of space in that house. Would you hire a housekeeper? I guess since you're not a owner you can't put up some solar, like what you have now.

That is a beautiful rental and my favorite room is always the bedroom. I'm a gay Lithuanian man and I want to visit Merida. I did a google search and found out there is a gay community in Merida with lots of gay bars and clubs. I will invite some of the handsome men home and have fun with them in the large bedroom.
