Have a great day everyone!
Have u not realized the cop is the same retired cop (Molly’s dad) from season one? Molly is the little girl in this season.
@@hellkatt a lot of people been asking this, we need an answer!
@@hellkatt I was about to ask the same question.
Did you know that Season 2 is a prequel to season 1? So that cop with ill wife is a old man, that owns a cafe in season 1, and his daughter became a cop...
Notice the mirrors in the Undertaker scene: Mike staring into his mirror has a single reflection, while the Undertaker in the elevator has infinite reflections. So the Undertaker looks far more menacing, but it's only an illusion. Fargo is a masterclass in cinematography.
Oh, no, he killed his niece, she’s dead. That dude doesn’t play games.
Did he already know about her treason or did he accidentally run into her? Or was he already planning to kill and followed her and found treason?
Now this is the part where this season ramps up tremendously, and it's already been going in high gear for 6 episodes straight!
So many Cohen references in this episode. I love the "Miller's Crossing" trees and the Ole danny boy.
Am I correct in assuming James has yet to connect the dots and realize who Lou Solverson (Patrick Wilson) and his family are? Not a critique, just it seems like he's talking about them as if he does not know he has already met the characters, in a different time :)
Lovely reaction as always, Fargo is just S tier television, and your channel is S tier reaction content, a match made in heaven for sure.
yessss, i'm having the same thought, has he realized it
I can't wait for James' reaction when he makes this final realization about Lou's family :)
He obviously hasn't realized yet.
Shh...🙉 he has the rare case of not knowing the ultimate fate of the protagonists, the main problem with any prequel, the sense of mortal danger is lost
Love the Big Lebowski call back with Condition my condition is in.
One of my favourite tunes, especially in my LSD days
Also a Miller's Crossing callback with the walk into the woods for an execution and the use of Danny Boy
It's so awesome when characters are written this well. You don't *know* them but you actually do. It's crazy haha
I love how many times James called out so many events in this episode, it's crazy hahaha!
I'm thinking those aerial views are supposed to represent the UFO observing everything. Judging people, to decide if they'll make contact or not.
the flying saucer is an allegory for the Angel of Death.
I've been watching you for a while but never commented. Fargo season 2 is probably my favorite season of anything ever, maybe even over Game of Thrones season 6 and all of Breaking Bad. That's a considerable feat. I'm absolutely loving your reactions to this beautiful show ❤️
The symbolism with the Undertaker having multiple reflections in the elevator mirror vs Mike having just the one was so good.
Patrick Wilson is so fucking good in this. I love his character so much.
@14:30 I mean Bear did walk her pretty deep into the woods. I don't think he would've gone through the trouble of driving way out there if he didnt actually intend on icing her. Also can't wait for these last few episodes. This season was already amazing but its nonstop 🔥 from here.
Great Miller's crossing nod with the scene in the woods. Probably the Coen bros. most underrated movie
Hey bro, makes the reaction of the film "Bacurau" is Brazilian, with the participation of some American actors, won the cannes award.
Yes!!!!
Yeeees
“Wouldn’t that be crazy?!” 💀
oh and i knew you would like Betsy ever since you watched the shining and commented on Shelley's style. they're obviously different but i feel like they would get along very well!
The SOUNDTRACK, man.
I mean... THE FECKING SOUNDTRACK! 🤤
THERE IT IS!! my favourite Mike Milligan scene
This is the Miller's Crossing episode
"I have heard of you. And may I say, brother, I like your style."
There's a lot of great characters in Fargo but Mike Milligan is the best.
They're all so complex that I can't decide who my favorite is. Lou Solverson is such a badass and such an amazing man, Mike Milligan is brutal and brilliant, Hanzee is a hardened motherfūcker that's always several steps ahead everyone. How can anyone pick just one?
This season is definitely my favorite . I had no idea they could top season 1 . 1 was absolutely nuts too. I hear they are launching season 5 soon . I hope it's better than 4 , that one was a disappointment for me. 3 was pretty damn good too. Great series .
great reaction.! been binging your Fargo stuff. just out of curiosity when or did you figure out who Lou and Molly were.?
Mr. James. Please you have to react to the Hannibal TV series. One of the best shows ever. The soundtrack of this Fargo episode brought back memories of the soundtrack of Hannibal. The visuals in Hannibal. Is also something to witness. Cheers.
+1
The serires so far has been great, now is when it switches up gears and becomes exceptional!
I have been a huge fan of the Fargo television series. I'm so excited to follow your journey though the next seasons because I can definitely say Fargo gets better and better every single season.
Huge fan of your channel and your journeys. Keep on killing it bro.
Really love next season. Varga comes across as such an unsettling and sinister character without using all that much violence himself. But I think this was my favourite season out of the 4
The Danny Boy callout! Love it! Referencing one of the coolest Coen scenes from Miller's Crossing. This show is just OTT in the best way ain't it? :)
“None of us are family anymore”
i feel like this line by bear is meant to represent how the Gearhardts are officially over, whatever collective power they had as a family is gone
and one by one they each fall alone
I feel like it's not super obvious, but the main copdad and his little daughter are the retired cop and investigating cop from Season 1. I don't know if the bones of this story were already in place when they wrote season 1, but dealing with the stone cold predators so calmly at this point explains copdad's ability to see through Malvo, Numbers and Wrench so easily.
It's getting greater and greater.
But I didn't understand if uncle was following the girl as he already intented to kill her or did he accidentally run into her and found treason
He suspected that she was selling secrets because of how many items she disappeared and how the Kansas city boys knew where and when to always hit them
I don't know if you are a Halo fan, but ,Mike Milligan,"Bokeem Woodbine ,is going to be a Marine,or a Spartan in the new series on Paramount+
19:21 do check song's ("O Death") version by Jen Titus
I wonder if he would react to The Butterfly Effect
I would love to see your reaction to Captain Phillips (2013).
Yha you luv the cop...lol. you like him in season 1 also.. have you made that connection yet? Molly?
Great job predicting at 19:51.
No spoiling intended, but should he know the thing he seems not to know -- the season 1 -> 2 connector, who people actually are... Not sure I can say any more without ruining things...
And I see that several comments are addressing this very same thought. Oh well, I'm leaving it up 😀
@@a3gill at least you tried to be subtle… unlike the rest
Do Mothman prophecies pls 🥰
I can't tell if he knows it's Molly/Lou from s1 and Ted Danson.
He didn't yet at this point
love your channel.
would love to see your review of a film called The Last Seduction 1994. its a noir thriller type. i think you will give a good assessment of it. peace dude
Ooh or The Brave One with Jodie Foster
I love how there is a line in this episode that pretty much represents Fargo as a whole :
How FAR does it GO?
Everytime (every season and movie) you ask yourself this question.
Awesome reaction! I was in an elevator like that, in Germany. It was huge and lined with mirrors, takes you up to Eagle's Nest. (Coincidentally the name of the movie they watch in this season... "Operation Eagle's Nest").
Also, I'm not going to spoil anything by saying what he did or did not do - but like you, "I have to see a body".
I’m guessing you already know this but the family and the cop are the same family from season 1.
That’s Lou, the shop owner, with his daughter Molly, the protagonist from season 1 👍
He hasn’t mentioned it so far. I’ve been curious if he made that connection.
@@pablozee6359 sames
i like how tim mcmanus is in this and no one really cares. guy was a huge part of one of the all time great tv series.
Wait what? That was Tim McManus from Oz?
Have you connected that the little girl molly, is the main cop in season one. Her dad(badass sheriff) owned the cafe ;)
Do you not realise that the main police officer is Mollys father from season one? I'm just surprised because you say that you hope nothing happens to him and his family... you've seen season one right?
Been wondering this all along myself cos he hasn't mentioned it and it is the type of thing I imagine he would have made note of. Seen some others asking the same question. I mean he hardly forgot that the protagonist in S1 was Molly Solverson, he knows this is Lou Solverson with a daughter Molly so....??
Hey I’m case you’re interested, could you please do a movie reaction to Kingsman the secret service on your next movie reaction?
Just you wait until 8 and 9
I enjoy that you don’t over-talk these. It’s a good observe and report balance.
The Undertaker has one line in the show. It is "now which one of you eggplants can't stop shittin' the bed." I love that so much.
the execution scene is very similar to the opening in "Millers Crossing" its basically a hommage if you want to compare that... its a great movie overall anyway
Hi James since you like fargo so much , you should check out "Legion" also by Noah Hawley. Love the show as always. :D
Your reaction to the scene in the woods...I mean...Millers Crossing, James. Just Millers Crossing.
Watch legion !
I second this.
Agreed
I love how they made nick offermans character love breakfest and call himself "the breakfest king of loyola" in reference to ron in parks and rec
Your reaction brings us a lot joy↖(^ω^)↗
My husband wants to recommend Nacho Libre to you, and we wonder if you know Fargo script writer also had another TV series call Legion, super surreal ~~~
The intro song?
The Rain Midnight Daydream Instrumental
Handmaid's Tale is one I think you'll really dig
Nice
You have figured out who the main cop is from season 1 right?
The opening scene is very reminiscent of Martin Scorsese
Dude! Have you seen Dark?
yessirrrrrrrrr
Yep, he killed her!!
The next episode is probably my favorite, but these two (7&8) go together so if you go back and re-watch it'll help contextualize things. Both episodes are mostly happening simultaneously.
I’m a big Ozark fan but I’d put this season over any season of Ozark. Problem is it’s like Godfather 2. You’re bound for disappointment after this.
4fifty8.
I can't wait for you to conclude this season - AND watch season 3 - it's a different feel but STILL very very good!!
