I have one word Emergency! This show ran from January 15, 1971 in to the end of the 70's. It ran on NBC on Saturday's at 8:00pm. It showed what went on between the men at station 51 and Rampart Hospital. But there were a lot of good shows on TV. I love growing up in the 70's and wish I could go back.
“Christy Love - She has beauty, brains, and a badge.” I remember that promo line well. I was 16, and I honestly never watched the program, but my best friend’s mother said, “It’s the most trite show.”
From 1974,,, I remember such shows as "Kojak",,,,"Moving On",,,, "Emergency",,, "Merv Griffith" show,,, "Michael Douglas Show",,, "Waltons",,,, "Apples Way",,,, "Little House on the Prairie",,,"Happy Days"....."Rhoda",,,,"Bionic Woman",,,, "Room 222",,,,, "Get Smart",,,,,, "That Girl",,,, "All in the Family",,,,etc/
I loved Sons and Daughters . I was madder then he’ll when it was pulled after 9dhows . It had a more authentic 50s look to the show then happy days did . Took along time to warm up to Happy Days . I deeply resented the day they took my favourite show off . And left the cropper show on .
🤔 What i find most interesting regarding these so-called flop television 📺 series is. Networks could only dream about the ratings these long forgotten shows received back then. Because no new Network series would ever rate as high as any of them !.......
There were only 3 major network channels to choose from so viewing options were limited. At the time, Satellite television was putting a NASA size dish on the roof of a house.
In the preview of commercials from 1974, that floor model tv that retailed for $480 would cost a little over $3,000 today. And no one is gonna pay that much for tv with less than a 100” screen.
Nakia , Night Stalker, Manhunter, Sons & Daughters, Born Free were the shows I watched. I thought Manhunter was a live action adaptation of the then current DC comics hero after discovering otherwise I still enjoyed it. What was taking place on TV In the early 1970s with shows like Happy Days , The Waltons , Manhunter , The Family Holvak, Sons & Daughters and other period set shows was participation in the Pop Culture Nostalgia Craze that occurred from 1970-75 ; revived interest in comics ( strips & books ), old time radio shows , movies , TV shows , magazines , etc that were from the 30s-50s built up and some current films like Chinatown , Hard Times , Paper Moon , etc added to the interest.
I might’ve seen some episodes of the new land it looks somewhat familiar unless it showed up later in syndication it was a good idea for TV series. A series of novels was very popular.
Does anyone remember that weid movie with a girl in room i think she was a model and it was like a camera and flash..it was creepy it was late 70s cause i was like 5 or 6. I remember watching it.
The only one I can think of off the top of my head is "Don’t be afraid of the dark". I remember a camera flashing scene, but I don't remember the context. I'm a kid of the 1970s too, and I remember seeing that movie in the 70s, and I've seen it once since then, but that's been years ago now, so I'm a little fuzzy on the details.
@@spaceagerabbit You have a decent "memory". Many don't. Well, they do but they need reminded they do. "Maine" says "hello". Thank you for creating another great video.

January 15, *1972,* you mean {replacing two sitcoms, "THE PARTNERS" [Don Adams] and "THE GOOD LIFE" [Larry Hagman]}.

The character was thoroughly obnoxious.
I was 14, and I wanted to really like Get Christy Love! The pilot was pretty good, but the rest was a flop.
Well...pretty good to a 14 year old!
You’re under arrest Sucker
That's not a nice thing to say about Whitney Houston's real mom.
Who is teresa graves, by the way@@whereisyourhumanity7557
Oh, I loved watching Born Free. There was another lion/animal show: Daktari.
I can just hear it now... "Daaak...TARI!!"
And then the action begins.
Thank you for reminding me.
"Maine" says Hello.

I loved that show, too.
So right...."Hefty paychecks" are a big help in getting people back together!
I still love your voice. I can listen to you all day!!
Thank you 😊 If only I could figure out how to make a video a day!

Oh wow! That's pricey! No wonder we only had one TV in our house.
True, but there were TV repair stores that sold used ones that were inexpensive. Now with 75-year-old eyes, a big screen seems essential.
I remember Debralee Scott on "Sons and Daughters"
"you're under arrest, sugah!"

Kolshak? "CHOPPER!"
I did not see most of those shows. I graduated high school in 74 and was working most evening
