SAFETY NOTE: Over the 7+hours of making this 10minute video...I over-looked an important safety point. A house full of kids can do that. *...The point missed is that 4mm banana adapters should be connected first to the charger before connecting to a battery to prevent the 4mm banana plugs from shorting the battery on anything metal. This is an issue specifically with 4mm banana plug connectors and metal cased 4-button chargers. I transitioned to using iSDT chargers over 3 years ago. the iSDT chargers are plastic cased and they use much safer XT-60 connectors that prevent accidental electrical shorting. Sorry, for this miss. I strongly recommend that all users read their charger manuals very very throughly and fully understand the safety aspects of their specific setups. Chris (Thanks Brad!)
Heya Chris, these adapters for the SC2P are awesome. Wasn't sure how to remove the battery tray, thanks for showing. Still not sure why I ordered 2, but then again I do have 2 controllers😁 I highly recommend these adapters as they are quality made👍👍👍👍👍
Hey Christopher, great video. Do you know of a place to purchase the MCBAT0009 7.4 volt Bebop battery (square one in your video), or must I convert over to the hobby grade lipo with adapter cable?
Are you asking about the very large Skycontroller 1? I make these adapters and sell them from my website (link at the end of the vidro or in the description or email me).
Hi Chris, I was just wondering if you still did the Parrot Skycontroller 2P (SC2P) - Single Battery Power Adapter (18650) or double, as my original parrot battery discharges within the hour? If not do you know anyone who can help, I'm in the UK.. Regards Jay
The original SC2 batteries are great...until they are left inside unused for a few weeks. They slowly drain to zero making them useless. The original is over-priced. A better alternative is any common aftermarket LiPo battery. There are 2 types of SC2 batteries. A cylindrical 1S battery or a rectangular 2S battery. Open the back of your SC2 to find out which type you need. Higher the "MHA" number means longer runtimes between charges. In any case save the old battery's connector with as much wire length attached (this is a "pigtail"). Clip one wire at a time to remove the pigtail. Solder this pigtail to the new battery. The Blue wire can be clipped away...it is not needed with the new battery. This new battery will need a charger. Not a big investment and it will out perform the original. This alternative allows for better longevity and saves money...affording more batteries for the same cost as one original replacement. I doubt any original replacements are even healthy enough this long after manufacture.
@@teknikcentralensverige yes. You will need a LiPo balance charger. These are inexpensive and can be used for other types of batteries from household to automobile. I recommend any iSDT brand charger. They are not junk cloned like most other brands.
Hi Chris, thanks for the interesting video ! I apologize if I go off topic but I remember having read about reflective stickers specifically designed for drones ... Are you the one who makes them or can you give the relevant link, pls ? ;-) Thanks

Hey buddy how about some detail videos of modding the sc2’s. That’s where I’m at now, there isn’t a lot of videos of it except some from Japan I think. I would Iove to boost the signal.

Can I charge a 18650 directly trough the SC 2 by plug the charger cable into?
Hey Christopher, great video. Do you know of a place to purchase the MCBAT0009 7.4 volt Bebop battery (square one in your video), or must I convert over to the hobby grade lipo with adapter cable?
The same 18650 is used on the Anafis SC3...so if I need to use a new and different 18650...I dont have to use the thermistor wire anymore ,correct?
Good info. I have both controllers and did not know there is a difference. Thanks.....new sub😁
Where can I get the SC2 battery adapter you spoke of? What is the proprietary plug called?

I have a black one with white sticks is it the 2 or 2p? The battery is the square one
It's the Skycontroller 2 (rectangular 2S battery). I make 18650 battery trays for these now.
@@LEGOofLittlehorn I have the Skycontroller 2 and am in need of the mod cable for the rectangle or if you have another solution. Also were to order?
Does the Sc2p have camera pitch tilt control?

@@LEGOofLittlehorn thanks! Do you have any webbsite who sells and ship battery’s to Sweden?
@@teknikcentralensverige I don't know of specific websites shipping to Sweden. But try HobbyKing.com they have warehouses to serve a lot of locations.
