    I’ve got an Evolve&Mellow Drive. For travel I’d take Mellow Drive as it’s small& fits in hand luggage with travel size batteries👍Buy a deck in holiday skate shop (cheaper than oversized luggage) to use with Mellow Drive, 4 screws to bolt&Ride; then give deck away before return...⚡️🏄‍♂️

    Chris, very thorough vid - great job!
    One other suggestion I’d throw out there is to get a properly sized lithium ion battery bag and put your battery in it when you carry it on. The other thing, is to either be familiar with your battery to show airport authorities it’s within the limit, and maybe even label it to help them see and screen capture the particular airline’s rules section on the limits. All of this helps them see you’ve done your homework and are following the rules 😉

    • @averageeskatereviews
      @averageeskatereviews  4 года назад +2

      Great suggestion. The battery has all of the information on it. So if the airport security ask, everything they need is displayed on the battery itself. This is the same for any proper electric skateboard. They all have this information attached to the battery on the side you can’t see. Thanks for the tip and for watching

    Hey man nice video. I work in the aviation industry and the 300wh limit is only for mobility aids. Unfortunately electric skateboards do not come under that it will have to go under as spare lithium ion battery which is 160wh Ofcourse with it being removed from the skateboard. Not all airlines double check this even though it should be so some may have got away with doing it.

    100wh seems to be the safe limit allowed by most airlines, but is it possible to carry on multiple batteries? Is there a limit to how many smaller batteries you could take and then multiple small batteries and reconnect them together at the other end?
    Another option I have used, is to send the battery and board etc via a courier like DHL to your hotel a few days before you leave so it arrives on day after you arrive. Way cheaper than oversize and excess baggage... and easier travelling

    Hey Chris! I really enjoy your videos, I think youre one of the best eskate channels out there, even tho you are not mainly a eskate channel, but there has been one thing I thin your videos could improve in a bit. Try not to linger around one point so much. Dont get me wrong, I think the points you bring up are great, and actual things we need to hear, but even from previous videos you seem to get a bit stuck on one point for a bit too long, many times i felt like you’ve said enough already but you kept backtracking and sometimes even repeating yourself. I think maybe writing a script for each point would help with this, so your ideas are a bit more to the point. Regardless, just a bit of a constructive criticism, please dont take it as any form of hate, and keep up the great quality of your vids! :)

    At first I thought this video was going to be an instructional about how deal with speed wobbles while "flying" at top speed. Flying with an e-board is too much trouble for me - If I can't get there on my board, then I don't want to go, haha..

    Sucks... but I was allowed to keep the board... Barely use it now...
    Probably in 2 years we will have a law or something. By then the capacity will have decreased to 80% or something, just due to lying around.
