I've been using this feature for a long time on the road as a trucker. Have a smart tv on the wall in my truck and I'll put a movie on my phone and it plays perfectly on my tv. I did not know about the app cast feature though, that is awesome, thanks!
if it is a samsung tv, it doesn't need to be on the same wifi network. it is not even necessary to have network access to cast to samsung tv from a samsung phone.

Saki doesn't mention most Tvs require you to have a casting option in the input list. Sony says Screen mirroring, Hisense has Any view Cast etc. Select this option from the input menu and your TV should appear in your list of TV's to cast to.
If it's a Roku TV you don't. Doesn't matter what I'm doing or what input I'm using on my TV, it will show up as a casting option. Mine is a TCL Roku TV.

Hi brother thank you for your information. Use of micro sd card for samsung phones, which sd card should we choose. Can you handle issues such as the use of the card during video recording. I bought a 512 gb micro sd card from china. After 10-15 gb, the card is causing problems. card A2 V30

Hi I have an oldish Panasonic TV and 2 x laptops that i want to cast from my Galaxy A50 Samsung phone the same wifi but its not visible , but don't have Smsart View as available buttons, however when searching for smart view, Quick panel 1 shows it, then says go to app, so i did and highlighted it. When searching for devices, only my one LG TV and Google nest (using Chromecast) was detected, which i connected to for mirroring, but the blue circle still turns not finding other devices, I turned the 3 no. devices on and off without success in connecting.

Work on my galaxy tab s4 but not on my galaxy tab s8 ultra at the moment fyi this not my TV but my android box which take care of that my tv is a old 65 inch panasonic plasma any idea why if I have to add a software like Mira cast the problem is that my tab s4 is not synchronized with my rab s8 ultra to avoid to have useless application and I m not sure if I can transfer only selected application music from one tablette to the other one i m blocked since 2 weeks with that thanks in advance for your precious help pascal from Switzerland

My S22Ultra can't connect to my Samsung Smart TV. When pick Smart View, it said at TV its going to connection but after 10 secs, nothing happen, no error messages, nothing happened. Weird

Smart view is off and you open youtube app on your phone and it is asking if I want to cast to my TV. Smart view is off how is the app sensing my TV? I don't like it.

****ALL WRONG**** YOU DO NOT NEED WI-FI IF BOTH DEVICES ARE SAMSUNG. This is LITERALLY why I switched from a base model iPhone 12 to a $300 mid range galaxy phone. I was tired of having to bring my apple HDMI adapter everywhere I go. My mid range galaxy phone connects/mirrors to my Samsung smart tv with NO WI-FI

This has never worked on any TV other than a Samsung for me. It simply with never see any TV other than a Samsung.
Have you tried casting to a Roku TV? I've cast my phone to several Roku TVs without issue. I don't have a Samsung TV as a matter of fact.

For what ever reason I can't do this at all with my galaxy 23ultra to my samsung smart tv....
Phone sees the TV. Message even pops up on the TV saying it's connecting to the phone...Annnd that's it. Never actually connects.

This doesn't work on every smart tv
My dad has been saving alot of money by using wifi direct. You don't need wifi in your home. The phone connects to the TV directly.. He doesn't have wifi in home. He uses unlimited data on phone network. Then streams RUclips TV, Netflix, Hulu, whatever he wants to TV. It just depends on your needs. Most people need wifi. But if you don't this is an option.
One question. His samsung TV is dying. Do you need a samsung TV to use wifi direct with Samsung phone???
No you don't. I share with LG, and Phillips in my home and at church with no problem at all. Just has to be on the same Wi-Fi.
@@markweaver4424 so my question is about Wi-Fi direct. You do not need a Wi-Fi signal to use Wi-Fi direct. The two the phone and the TV connect directly so you do not need to buy Wi-Fi in this scenario. My dad Samsung TV is dying. I'm just trying to figure out if I need to have another Samsung TV to use Wi-Fi Direct with a Samsung phone.
Everyone knows what to show once they mirror the screen . Not everyone knows they will need wifi and smart view. So they watch the video only to find out it is of no help.
Sadly this does not work on my LG TV only my hisense. LG TV says my phone is not a supported device
We have LG TV's throughout our Church and the one on the boardroom is on the Wi-Fi as I share content to it every week during staff meeting. They have to be on the same Wi-Fi.
@@markweaver4424 My 60 inch LG is about 6 years old. It didn't connect. Both Samsung 22 Ultra and LG tv are on my home network. Am I doing something wrong?

Samsung A05 will NOT work no matter what I do...i have spent about 8 hours trying all kinds of casting apps even...nothing works...truly regretting buying this new cheap samsung phone. Never again. lesson learned. casting is important to me :/
