it´s hard to find a show as solid and well writen as FMAB, people throw around the word masterpiece really easily but this one deserves that title

I´m not saying it´s a perfect show but it´s pretty hard to find anime as consistently good as FMAB, and that alone makes it exceptional if you ask me
Made in Abyss, Demi-chan wa Kataritai, 3-Gatsu no Lion, I really can´t think of many shows that are as solid as this

AOT took 3 whole seasons to stop being bland and predictable how could you even compare it to FMAB
@@DanB14 AOT was not planned from the start, most of what happened at the end was made up on the fly

Titans are people, oh wow it´s not like everyone thought that since episode 1
who´s that new titan? could it be the protagonist? nah that´d be too obvious
Mikasa and Levi are related, it´s not like they´re both bland, uninteresting and overpowered for no reason
Annie looks exactly like the female titan, what a twist, Bertholt and Reiner look like their titans too, it´s why their reveal was so casual, because the author knew he couldn´t make it a surprise
most of the character twists only worked because said characters were barely in the story before their big revelations, it´s just poor character writing, and the author only started taking it seriously towards the end because the series got too big
also I don´t have a bias, that´s not what that word means, I just know how to analyze a show and see it´s qualities, the one with a bias here is obviously you since you´re saying FMA is predictable like there weren´t plenty of twists through the story
getting their bodies back was their main objective of course they pulled it off, and there was no "beat the bad guys" at the start, the only bad guy at the time was Scar wtf

FMAB is truly one of the few, if not the only series that was truly perfect all the way through. Every character had a great arc and made a genuine impact on the story, every storyline paid off and contributed to the whole, the villains were compelling, the soundtrack was beautiful, the ending was satisfying and emotional. There are no components that are lacking and they all contribute to an amazing story
love the 2 dudes they always vibin on OPs and EDs on any series they react to.
Those two are my favorite reactors for sure

I'd agree it's a masterpiece due to the fact that it's well paced, hits all the story beats that it needs to when it needs to, and actually has an ending that feels like an ending
it also has good comedy and wastes no time with fanservice
@@r.a.fgattaiguy845 correct. The comedy really hit my stomach and not cringe or forced, unlike mostly today's anime comedy. There's not even a kiss scene in the whole series. I respect that kind of anime which I refer as "old style" anime...or at least that's how I see it
@@ridermalak3291 tbf the only reason no one kissed is because the author didn´t know how to draw it at the time, so she settled with the hug
@@r.a.fgattaiguy845 I didn't just say about the last episode. I talked about the whole series. I took that "waste no time with fanservice" for it and it's right
I keep hearing one of the reactors in a couple of episodes keep saying "kiss" in a possible moment but no, they didn't do that I think it's a good point
Congrats with reaching the end of this show. I should get around to rewatching this show in the future through getting to see what it was like for people to watch the story for the first time.
I’m super glad I watched this when I was young otherwise the episode length would had intimidated me nowadays.

Revolutionary Girl Utena or the original Legend of the Galactic Heroes OVA series would be my recommendation, though I don’t know if there’s enough people for that yet.

Today's anime really should take a look back on FMAB. No fanservice, no cringe or forced comedy, truly deserved to be called the best anime ever
