This was the BEST and straight forward explanation I've seen. This answered my question to the fullest. Thank you!!!
Great short clear video. Very helpful, thank you!
Very clear, very helpful video. I swear I watched like 10 other videos before I found yours - which was by far the best. Thank you!
Exactly what I needed today. I've been using an earlier model of PWs with monolights without a hitch. I recently acquired the IIIs and wanted to use them with my SB-900s. While testing today, no matter what I did, I couldn't get the PWs to trigger my flash. This helped tremendously. Clear, concise, calm, well-made - thank you!
Hey Julian Thanks for explaining so simply and easy to understand.
great job explaining how to set up flash triggers, one of the better deliveries for sure. I am planning on setting up a remote camera focused on third base from above the dugout but these are expensive. Might try for pocket wizard II on ebay. Thanks
Great tutorial! I’ve been trying to figure out my Mitros+ III’s for awhile. You explaining to set them on TXRX was a huge tip!
Thank you Julian, you have made this so easy to understand!!!
Awesome professional video!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the video. Is the set up the same with two Flex TT5's?
So If I need to connect two lights I need 3 of those pokey wizards?? I hate this product making my life imposible
Why does the test only work on my strobe and not the camera? They are both set to TX RX and they are on the same channel. Thanks
Great Video!!!!! Where did you buy your tools!
Best explanation!
I have the same setup but with pocketWizard plus II. and I am trying to fire another canon speed light (580ex) which is suppose to receive the optic signal from the first light (580exii). The problem I have is that the second light (580ex) fires up with a delay. The (580exii) is conected with a cable to the PWizard and reacts properly when I push the shutter.
When I place the 580exii directly on the camera hot shoe and don't use the pocket wizard, both lights fire in perfect sync, with no delay.
Any ideas?
Thank you Julian!
How do you get rid of that sound when the flash is triggered?
thank you
Mostly helpful, but the flash isn't on camera. Can I use the pocket wizard system while having a flash on my actual camera?
How you sync pocketwizard IIIe with Pocketwizard plusx
Hi Deris, they both need to be set to the same channel. The Plus X will always transmit and receive, but the IIIe has a mode button, which switches between transmit only (Tx) (for when it's on the camera), receive only (Rx) (for when it's on the light) and transmit and receive (TxRx) (will work on both the camera and the light). You need to make sure that IIIe is set to the right mode.
Hope that helps.
GREAT JOB
Allowing those wires to hang, while being plugged into your light head will cause trouble. They get bent, stretchy and eventually start to misfire.
Thanks for this
Guess im the only one who seen only one flash on first test press. The other test right afterwards didnt flash. COuld be my eyes deceiving me...
ok
