I felt the ribs turned out better when I did them in this smoker, that said bbq is an opinion. Our channel is not about saying we’re the best, just share different cooks good and bad sharing a view. Appreciate you watching thank you
Thanks for the videos on the barrel smoker.. not a lot of videos on these things yet. I'm getting mine here in the States in about 2 weeks. One thing I noticed is why do you put your probes at the lid, and let the lid rest over the wire?? There are holes on each side near each shelf that you can put your probes into. Also do you think the steel is thick enough on the cooker part?? I live in CO. and do plan on smoking in the winter
Yeah there’s holes on the side where you can feed the thermometer through. TBH the lid isn’t a tight close so for me doesn’t feel to make much of a difference. The lid has a soft spongy cushion also so it kind of moulds in if you get what I’m saying. The steel is pretty thick, you may just need to burn your fire a bit hotter. Let me know how it goes. My next few smokes won’t be on this grill but I’m planning to do a few more things on here soon. Appreciate the time to watch and place a comment.
@@albatrossbbq I will have to play with that when i get it. I might put a lid latch on it if that's the case.. I'm planning on taking a good look at it anyway to see if i need to put a gasket around the fire door, or put any sealant around bottom seams, etc. But Thanks, your videos helped me decide to purchase one. The option to open the fire box is a winner for me and folding side shelves. Ugly drum smokers here in the States with those options are very costly, and Pit Boss is really being competitive with their price
great video mate im waiting for my pit boss barrel from bunnings but now getting stuffed around with them saying its been deliverd but it has not so now in a shit fight with them to find out where it is

Uh oh, I just ordered mine this week! Was informed it was "in stock" but nowhere to be found.....yet.
I had no issues personally, mine was delivered within the week. It’ll take around 90 mins to get it up when it arrives. Have fun with it when it does.
