Good looking light. I enjoy the surge rechargeable light I got from tractor supply. I carry it in my left front shirt pocket. Have a wonderful day today
I carried a light this size for over a decade, but since switching to a shorter profile, I don't think I could go back. I still have several longer ones in each vehicle & various tools pouches, and that would ultimately be what this one landed (so the clip would be an issue in that case) I like the amount of light it puts off for sure.
That is a sweet flashlight but i do agree with you, that pocket clip is in the wrong spot. The light would be great for on a pack for hiking and such. I would definitely use it.
Yeah the Archer series is a good series of lights the flashlight community has been asking them to please raise the pocket clip also maybe someday they will listen to us like the knife manufacturers do thx JB
I'm not sure who uses this form factor light. I've seen exactly ONE mechanic use one for under car inspections. Personally I find them awkward. The single size version Archer 1A is another story. I have several and find them a great pocket light, if you know the secret. While they say its a regular 1.5v AA light, if you put a 14500 lithium battery(3.7v) in it you double the output. The trick is, virtually all LED emitters run on 3.7v nominal (4.2v max) current so you're pretty safe upgrading most LED flashlights in this way. Be prepared, though, if you're wrong and ruin a light. In a couple dozen plus lights I've destroyed exactly 1 due to over voltage. Just don't try this with a double cell light like in the video, this will definitely destroy the light. I've been enjoying the benefits of this "new" model for near 10 years by using a single 14500 and a spacer cell. No, it doesn't have the same runtime but I've been doing it for a decade before anyone made a 141000 cell! Happy lumens.
brotha jb, i have a older model thru-nite tactical light here , its 1100 lumens and they've replaced all i asked for for free , basically everything but battery , shipped to me , they are cool to work with n talk too , thanks for sharing n we'll talk soon brotha > tom !
@@BigRedEDC but this sofirn light here i cannot figure out how to lock it out so it does not come on in my pouch/pocket/etc , i know its 4 clicks really fast but its not working , i love the light but for now i cannot e.d.c. on my person like i wanted too so until i figure it out it 'll be a backup option i guess , talk soon > tom !
@@BigRedEDC in the meantime though i took the battery from it and put in my other light , my klarus g15 as my main e.d.c , n i hope i can mail out that light to you today , if not i'll let you know thru email here soon bro , thanks > tom !
This one looks a little long for a comfortable pocket carry. They should have designed it so the clip could be placed towards the end if you wanted to move it.
As far as pen lights go this and the Nitecore MT2A Pro are very similar and are at the top of the heap for pen lights. Big Red you might like the Nitecore better its a little more powerful and has the clip at the tail end. Pen lights are specialty lights and purpose driven. Not great for EDC. Its good that both companies have gone to a large rechargeable battery for pen light, it is what has been needed for a long time.

Thanks for watching Jason
Perfect sized pocket work flashlight 🔦! Tks JB!!
Right on Rory!

Right on Shamus. I do like the beam pattern.
Always enjoy flashlight videos
Awesome Kevin
I like it! Can see where it would come in handy in several areas. Good job JB! Thank you for sharing it!
Thanks David
You are right, a little long for an EDC flashlight. Would he a good vehicle bag light or a hunting bag. Thanks for sharing JB
Yes indeed Tim! Thanks so much
I agree, to big for EDC, but for a center console/glove box light it would be great. Thanks for sharing JB, be safe.
For sure James
I like this on a lot, but it is a bit more length than I'd normally edc. Good for around the house, in the car, in a pack, etc. Thanks
Yeah, longer than what I carry as well!
That is a sweet flashlight but i do agree with you, that pocket clip is in the wrong spot. The light would be great for on a pack for hiking and such. I would definitely use it.
Right on Jeff!
It has it's place good glove box for sure.
Agreed Ed
Thanks JB for sharing.
Thank you Marco!

Right on! Thanks Joe!
Sweet flashlight but it's a little bit big for me. Thanks for sharing JB 👍
Right on Jeff!
I agree, that it is not the best placement for the pocket clip. To long of a light for an EDC in my opinion. Thank you JB for sharing.
Thank so much David
Nice light thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching kc!
Too funny this review shows up today. Just ordered a set from Amazon that are being delivered today.
👍👍👍
Interesting on the length. Ordinarily, I'd want an EDC to be pocketable and I have other stuff in my pocket too
Agreed my friend!
What's up with the clip it shouldn't be in the middle but what do I know thanks for showing sir
Thanks for checking it out!
What were they thinking with this pocket clip??? I don’t get it??? Still a nice light thanks for sharing JB
I do like the beam pattern on this one
@@BigRedEDC I own the older version of this light and it does have a nice pattern enjoy it brother
@grimreaper6042 very good! 👍👍
Look nice thank for the demo ✌🏻
Thanks for checking it out my friend.
The deal for 2 is not this light, that's for the 2A 3V 500 Lumen lights
Thanks for watching
@@BigRedEDC sure, thanks for the review. just ordered one, saw the deal for two myself, and got excited until i realized it was the cheaper version :D
The length would make it easier to find, but I’m not sure why else it would be so long. Hmm. I do like the price though.
Agreed for sure
I would toss the clip but I like it otherwise. I don’t think would carry it but in a drawer or glove box for sure.👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks radar
looks like a great light to have around, but maybe not for pocket carry
Agreed Kathleen
Good review JB , thanks for sharing YAH bless brother !
Tail clip for sure
Thanks so much Michael

That would he a better set up
🤨🧐 🤔 🤷♂️ I like the light pattern, but pocket carry? maybe if walking the dog but not going to the store
Right now Cliff!
shine on
💯💯💯💯
Cool light
Thank for taking a look Rusty
Good looking light. Not crazy bout the middle clip tho
Yeah, a little strange on the clip placement
Very cool
Thanks Justin!
Pocketclip needs to be placed higher but it's an easier carry than a 4 D cell Maglite, sooo ....
Lol...yes it is Shane
This is kind of a big boy for EDC.
A little bigger than I would probably carry
Not my favorite from them
Right on Mike!
