My 16 month old son loves the Hello Bello boxes. Lol. After one comes he spends the next 24 hrs in there. Not really but you get my point. He also loves his Melissa and Doug cleaning set
Agree 💯. Organized minimal toys materials is the best way to keep children engaged. I love toy rotation.
This looks amazing. My little nephew got a similar setup. He loves his puzzles and trains. The train is a great wooden toy that already belonged to me, my brother, and now my nephew. His kitchen and cleaning stuff is right next to the real kitchen, so he can cook while mom or dad are cooking and help cleaning.
One thing that is different is that he has many tings outside, so he has a lot of fresh air and they also plant some strawberries and carrots for him. He is 3.5 now and needs to be watched in the garden, but in a few years he will be able to go exploring on his own in the garden and with 6 or 7 probably the neighbourhood. (It is a very calm street, so not a lot of car traffic.)
I bought him a piano matt for his birthday this year, one of those where you can jump on the different keys and make music with it. Music and movement is also a big part of his education.
Awesome! We spend a ton of time outside too. So important :)
Where did you get your bowling pins from and how do you and your son like it? Looking for a nice set and you are Montessori - aligned. 😊
Where did you get those Dino’s? 💛
How did you make your labels? Did you hand write them with a pen?
I’m glad I found your channel! Love your minimal Montessori practical style! 😊
Stacking cups! We have had them for so long. My son using them for everything. He loves them for play sand, he loves them in the kitchen, he loves to stack and crash them. So simple and endless fun. And they stack! haha so easy to clean up.
yes!! so good :)
Great video. My 6yo and 8yo sons love Hot Wheels, Duplo/Lego, military figures. But if I have to name THE top toy, it would be dinosaurs. They have all kinds and sizes, 2 deep bins full. My 3.5yo daughter plays with play food, Shopkins, animal figures, and her top toy is Paw Patrol.
This was very inspirational and helpful, thank you for sharing this video. New subscriber here. x
Thank you! 💛
As a mom of 11 I NEED this video. I’m actually in the process of setting up a play room for my 1yr triplets boys 🥰
Mom of 11!! I need your advice not the other way around! 😅

Thank you for showing the storage !
Great video!! Something that's helped me keep the play storage organized (ok, its NOT organized due to space issues, but more like organized chaos!) is to keep any boxes the toys come in-which may seem obvious, but at first I would throw away any boxes that toys came in. It's much easier to store/stack/take out toys when you can put them back in the box, especially toys with lots of pieces! :)
So smart!
This was great! I love how you have his playroom set up!
Thanks Jenny!
A water bottle is what our 20 month old boy had been OBSESSED with this week! 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for sharing these videos! 💕🤗
😂😂 love it!
Love this!! Please keeping sharing your Montessori journey. Thanks for making this video!!
P.S. I would love to see your book collection/recommendations also. That looks like a really interesting assortment and we are always looking for book recommendations for our toddler and preschooler!!
@@lbtk thanks so much! I have some favorites listed over on my amazon storefront - I will work on getting more added. :) www.amazon.com/shop/hollycasto
my son is two and he's favorite toy is mega blocks! he could play with them alone for hours lol
looks so great Holly, do you have any suggestions when you have more than one child so different ages. would you do different sections of room for the different aged toys possibly? x
Thank you! I’ve seen where people with multiple kids will have a different little shelf for each kid with the Montessori activities and then bigger toys that they all share. You could also put the shelves in different areas of the house so they’re not all cramped in one room.
Love this video, thank you! All of your videos are my absolute favourites at the moment!! I’m looking forward to your toddler “homeschool” video. My son is about a month older than Charlie and I’m also leaning towards homeschooling eventually. Would love to do a little bit of learning with him, following his interests. He’s also vehicle obsessed! :) xx
Thanks so much! 💕 aren’t little boys fun?? ☺️
Woww this video is very helpful for me...I can organize my little one’s play area better and get her some new toys as well Thanks Holly !! Can you please link his kitchen, I loved it with pretty neutral colors

Love these tips!
Wow I really needed this one to see, it's lovely🥰
Thanks so much for sharing this! They even deliver to Canada😀 I’m totally signing up!
Awesome!! You will love it. It’s like Christmas every time we get a new box. :)
My boy is 3 years old. He's very much into puzzles, now he totally left puzzles n is into physical work, like jumping and running
Love this video! Does you have toys in your living room or do you experience him taking toys from the playroom to play by you? Do you allow your son to play alone in the room?
yes, he takes the toys out to the living room / other rooms of the house as well. The playroom is babyproofed so I let him in there alone for small periods of time too. :) hope that helps
@@HollyHomebody thanks!
My son loves Legos!
Where did you get the chalk board?
for us its 100% magnetic tiles.
