With the current popularity of retro graphics and ultra-violence among indie devs, I wonder why we haven't got an Indie spiritual successor to this game. With modern graphics, a third Manhunt is basically impossible, it would get banned and censored to hell, but with retro style graphics almost anything goes.
rdr2 is veeeery gory, (the same gory as manhunt) and nobody is saying anything, so i don't think a manhunt 3 would get banned, the world nowadays knows the difference between games and reality(i like to thing)
@@xs-18 I don't think RDR2 is as gory as Manhunt, it's just that it's modern graphics are better at conveying the burtality of violence, but Manhunt's violence was much more sadistic, in fact, it was kind of the point. Still, RDR2 is really gory. That being said, Manhunt has that reputation you know?

I honestly think it's mainly this soundtrack that keeps the game from feeling stale for me. It had and still to me has generally solid and surprisingly modern feeling mechanics (at least with the mouse aiming on PC making this feel like a decent cover shooter at times)
