For me, THE best intro to a season period. You get a whole story told in just 2 minutes and you understand every struggle every moment of pain just through the simple words of a radiohead song.
Hands down one of the best season premieres of tv show history. The music, the montage, the performance and the direction all on point. What a beautiful show.
The pain he was in must’ve been awful. Not just detoxing, but the pain in his leg for not being on something that actually helped it. I doubt he would’ve been begging for help in any other situation. Season 6 remains the best season to me. Simply because we saw House finally face his demons and start to made strides to not only be happy, but be healthy as well. Wish he never ended up with Cuddy and continued to recover in the later seasons. I loved House in season 6.
i watch this every now and then. this song played in my head over and over when i detoxed as well. and it will again when i finally get off alcohol. this song always makes me thing of sobriety. one day.
I finished watching the series recently and I think season 6 is my favourite. Definitely "Broken" is one of my favourite episodes ever. Not to mention Radiohead's 'No surprises'. A perfect intro ❤
In this season you can see what happenes when a doctor becomes the patient.I am just wondering what would happened if he let them cut the leg..How the show would look like..Probably it wouldn't be as interesting as now..
The strand of episodes from the season 5 finales to the two now really really affected me. The whole hallucinating his relationship and detoxing with cuddy broke me and this intro was just painful to watch
Once I saw this episode on TV long time ago but didnt know from where this song was from, so it lived in my head without me knowing what the songs name was. The only thing I could remember was the opening guitar and that I heared it once in Dr House. Fast forward to a few days ago. I was sitting at my computer while Spotify ran in the background. I actually wanted to call it a day and go to sleep when Suddenly out of nowhere I hear the song. Spotify put it in a Mixtape and played it right before I was to close it. Now I knew the title so I looked up if I was right that I heared it on Dr House and here we are now
Withdrawal is kinda like childbirth or breaking a bone, in that there's two kinds of people; those who know what it's like and those who can only imagine what it's like. For me it was like a bag of snakes where my brain was supposed to be. But also, think of the hungriest or thirstiest you've ever been in your life and then forget it because your body is insanely ravenous for this third thing that's neither food or water.
Watched the greatest series of all time, Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Mad Men, Downton Abbey, The Wire, etc. None of them had a start to a season as great as this sixth season of House MD. To see House reaching bottom once again, but this time, not being able to "manipulate" or "drug" his way out, and actually having to reach out for help, believe in his treatment and face his traumas. In my opinion, those were the best episodes in the dam series, when we get to see House as the patient instead of the doctor...
Beautiful opening and has to be horrendous for House in terms of withdrawal. I've only gone a little through Antidepressant withdrawal which is nothing compared to Benzos or opioids. I don't want to imagine what it feels like. I would scream probably pretty bad.
Ive been rewatching house recently and goddd i had completely forgotten that they used this song for this scene......what a gorgeous song for such a heartbreaking scene.
That’s simply not true. They often employ 4-point restraints in the E.R. OK psych wards? Maybe not as often, but it’s not entirely crazy to assume an attending physician can order restraints for a patient who is absolutely out of their mind and off their rocker.
This show became unbearable last seasons. Seson 6 was more fixing personal problems and creating new than anything else. Like when they don't have what to argue about they are arguing that they are not arguing. It's BORING. House was fun and breaking the rules, last seasons he is not even in shape. The entire world watch at him and he growed himself a belly? Seriously?
For me, THE best intro to a season period. You get a whole story told in just 2 minutes and you understand every struggle every moment of pain just through the simple words of a radiohead song.
Amen
The irony of a genius doctor being in a mental hospital is the perfection of house
nuh uh
Genius often comes hand in hand with madness (at least in tv shows and movies)
He was made to face the thing he feared most: his own emotions, and that’s what makes it so good
Hands down one of the best season premieres of tv show history. The music, the montage, the performance and the direction all on point. What a beautiful show.
No doubt about it
I remember watching it live, it was too heavy for my young mind, but brilliant regardless.
The subtlety of the title is a nice touch to this intro. Normally we see “House m.d.” but here it only says “House”
Oooh… didn’t even catch that
And also the little light of the box around the H is flickering

In fact, I think this is the only time he asked for help in the show?
@@kevinsantillans7415 It happens a few times, and it's potent everytime.
Being with cuddy didn't upset me. How it ended did.
@@boneappletea3858 Yeah but apparently he was lose Cuddy anyway. That's what the writers said anyway.
@@RogueBlackOp writers have been known to lie. Lisa Edelstein just happened to leave the show when their characters split? Idk.

Thank you!

Amazing song
This entire episode was beautiful. We get to see house go through a forced withdrawal after his psychotic episode at the end of season 5.
One of my favorite episodes of house MD
yeah. sometimes when I feel sad and alone, I came here to see this scene.
These scenes where House is detoxing, are heartbreaking. Such a fantastic actor!!!

You've got this! You're stronger than you think.
Good luck to you, buddy. I've been there. Withdrawal is like a playable demo of hell. Hope you're doing good.
Whoever made this show knows addiction somehow. Its a little too real sometimes for me to stomach
Edit: “someday” indeed. Maybe one day
This was such a beautiful episode, my favourite for sure. I can completely agree with you! Thank you for posting!
Season 3: one of the happiest intros
Season 6: one of the saddest intros
the moment his left hand dropped with the music, signified this shit has been flushed out your body.... love it
Free my nigga
Season 6 is easily the best and broken is a huge part of the reason
I really liked the final of season 3, but this intro was very amazing.. i love this series, and i am actually watching it! I am at mid of season 7 :)
I finished watching the series recently and I think season 6 is my favourite. Definitely "Broken" is one of my favourite episodes ever.

It's often implied that the pain isn't physical but psychological. His leg would still hurt regardless. Phantom pain and all that
@Psilocybe Cubensis thank you :)

I watched this episode this morning for the first time. It changed the way I see certain things.

When he notices the lipstick wasn't lipstick... ;-;
the song fits so well for the atmosphere of the situation and for can explain a bit house personality

When you know the misery of opiate withdrawals, this scene is a fucking nightmare.
This episode is hard to watch. I absolutely despise mental institutions.
What an Instagram memepage admin feels like waking up everyday
I was on detox too .. it was almost the same
Hope you're doing well now!

We can’t restraint a client like that anymore. More at harm that without the restraint.

House is more than just hot doctors banging each other. Maybe you should watch that instead.
House lived his life in pain
Growing old alone as doctor is insane can't imagine
