Ah man I love these splitting vids so much. It's what got me into your channel. I just love seeing you have a great time splitting wood with the axes you've made. Keep it up Billy you have the most wholesome channel.
Just got in from taking down some dead wild cherry trees and up pops a BBR vid! You have taught me so much, Buck'n ,I can't thank you enough. Laid down all 4 trees right where I wanted them and in a safe manner all from your videos. Will have plenty of practice splitting and maybe someday consider myself good enough to get a Buck'n Special!
Hey Mr. Bill Can you do a little saw work and go over how you operate in you maintenance for your power head and the internals. Thanks, love this community and what a working day you had indeed!
I just visited your website. And just finished watching the video you just posted about Brian. You are truly an amazing man. Need SO MUCH MORE of you in my life.
Just checking in to say I enjoyed the video. Looks like You were in the grove today. All of the axe's you used worked terrifically. Remember to keep everything we do Kind and to Love all.
There’s a different axe for each type of wood and that’s what makes it all fun! Little tazzy here Little Rock in the sock there, it’s all a blast. Love to you and the family buckin❤️
Love it all Buckin. Little of both wood be great. Those axes are just deadly in the wood. Thank you Buckin. Hello and welcome to all the new comers and hello to the entire Buckin Army. 🌲❤🌲✊
My significant other and I put the new baby to bed to the sounds of chainsaws. Baby Orions dad, Brad, watches you every morning as he takes care of the baby, has his coffee and gets ready for work. I myself play your chainsaw videos for him so he will sleep sometimes. Orion LOVES buckin' already friend and he's only 2 months old! Thanks for the memories, maybe he will grow up to cut someday, who knows! Great channel, keep on doing you! P.s. I vote for a all buckin, looong video compilation for Orion (and other babies) to sleep too, would actually be helpful to me so maybe to other moms and dads too! Much love and peace ✌
Brad the dad here, love you and your message to spread kindness. Not to mention the buckin. All your content, the axes the bucking the knowledge, it gets me excited it does. Added bonus, is my son likes it too.
Run the splitter on the big gnarly stuff. I always like seeing Eastonmade splitters in operation. That Axis vertical splitter is a lethal weapon when it comes to making mass quantities of firewood in a short amount of time.
Here in Maine there's winter, cleaning up from winter, getting ready for winter, rushing before winter gets here. 4 full seasons. I love them all. I'm 70 and I still chop wood.
Anyone get the feeling that watching Buckin splitting wood with an Axe feels like watching someone like say a Hibachi Chef at a Japanese Steakhouse. He just brings a skill to the task that ya can't help but watch and like. Keep it up BBR.

Id love to see ya work some axes in the next video, when you come back to that woodpile. I learn so much from ya bub. Thanks and I’m hoping that jaw is feeling better!
Buckin" wait for the big wood to pull out the auto splitter , I love your parsing of the different axe's & their characteristics with both handling & wood grain differences to axe performance .
I’ve always knew “kinda” how to fell tress. But, friends, after watching some of his videos, i chop with confidence! It’s Just glorious friends. :) I appreciate you, for your videos, and your knowledge. Also Your constant positivity. :)
Know that feeling brother. I have dropped a lot of trees before watching BBR, but using some of his tips about chain filing, and dealing with knotty or gnarly wood when it comes to splitting, telling ya, my saws never ran better and I got a 25 Ton hydraulic splitter that I gotta remember to pull out of the garage to keep it in shape half the time, cause I just prefer splitting by hand again. As some of my old military buddies would say my way of cutting and Buckin was one method of getting the job done, NOT the preferred method, but a method none the less. I would gladly say with the methods I tried, for me, BBRs method is the preferred one.
@@jasonpinckney2178 Yeah I’ve used a splitter ever sense I could operate the handle (dad would do the lifting) also got a machete before I could lift a chain saw. But I agree! There’s just something, rewarding about splitting by hand. I’d like to think of my axe is my friend, my maul is more my therapist, and my double sided axe is like my buddy that’s always down at the bar. :) :) :)
@@MDX360liveordietryin My last axe just recently gave up the ghost after being true to me after several years. Hasn't broken but the head has rubbed down the haft enough where it's too loose for me to trust it safely. Stuck using a Fiskars maul and a Fiskars single bit right now, but really want to find a good profiled double bit at around 4-4.5lbs. Don't get me wrong, the Fiskar makes some decent tools and I modified the profile of both mine so they do a great job, but the composite straight handles just don't have the same feel to em. Of course nobody in my area re-hafts axes, so figured I will patiently wait till I can find a beauty of a 32" Double bit that I want to buy while I pick up a few haft's to work with and practice doing my own.
Buckin, you’re extremely pleasing to the eye and the ear. Not sure about the nose though with the amount of hard graft you put in 🤣. For me personally, I prefer seeing some axe action instead of hydraulic splitter. I haven’t been splitting long and the more I watch the more I learn 👍. I hope your splitting axe is everything you want it to be when it’s finished, I’ll be keeping an eye out for it on the website.
